I have a very hard time believing Campbell wouldn't take the vast majority of the staff with him.My first choice if Campbell doesn't take a bunch of the staff with him would be to continue on from within his coaching tree and retain as many as possible. The program has been so laser focused with the way we do things that I don't think the culture and the way they do things would change with the right leader among them. We'd probably just be looking at some different strategies and level of aggression on the field.
I think you do in today's world. There's so much more than just coaching football. Not saying you have to be smart to be a good football coach. But Entz always seemed like a big-time dumbass.
One thing that really sucks is that even if we find someone who is a good coach it’s very likely that they will just move on a lot faster than Matt Campbell.
No. Please no.Taylor Mouser
No. Try to keep commits yes, but don't hire just for that reason.I could see Mouser in an attempt to keep players and commits.
Yes. As we all should.if its mouser im turning in my diploma and going after my tuition
Fine by me.Mouser left is gf to stay with Campbell, he'll be going with him.
Blame SEC/BIG10. If this was 20 years ago, Campbell stays for life IMO.We had the ******* unicorn.
Paul Rhoads had passionWoodley/Kempt. Fug it, get crazy, passion means more than experience.
He's not making as much as you'd think in that role. ISU HC is a big step up paywise... now he could REALLY love living in L.A. who really knows? Calls must be made thoughI don’t hate the Scheelhouse idea, but as someone else said, it would take a lot to leave nfl
Whoever it is, the program has to keep building from here. It is not a foregone conclusion that ISU will forever be a stepping stone job. The current uncertainty in CFB is contributing here. One thing that really sucks is that even if we find someone who is a good coach it’s very likely that they will just move on a lot faster than Matt Campbell.
I don't see anybody on ISU's staff, other than Heacock, who is has the requisite experience and background to be a P4 head coach. My first choice if Campbell doesn't take a bunch of the staff with him would be to continue on from within his coaching tree and retain as many as possible. The program has been so laser focused with the way we do things that I don't think the culture and the way they do things would change with the right leader among them.
