Re: Coach Matt A

You'd get blacklisted so fast if you negatively recruited against a school you were still employed against.

This thread has gotten... interesting.

Not to get into semantics, but is a rumor with a source even a rumor anymore?

Re: Coach Matt A

Wonder if he was heavily negatively recruiting against Fred all this time he was gone? I agree about finding that interesting though.

Matt may leave us, but he would never actively recruit against us while employed by Fred. He's not that kind of guy.

I assume Cyhart mean TJ. Or not?

On definately agree but Matt A is still building that relationship.

Re: Coach Matt A

Did anyone stop to think that CFH didn't just miss his flight to see Diallo and Matt A was seeing him instead knowing he's going to SJ, also CFH goes to see MB in Michigan and possibly Grayer instead. Not saying MA was recruitng Diallo on behalf of SJ while still employed with ISU but that would be a huge coincidence if MA goes to SJ and Grayer is hired here and that's how the travel worked out last week...

Bridges is in West Virginia.

Re: Coach Matt A

While it makes some sense, it doesn't make a lot of sense. How close is St John's from getting to the tournament? How close are they to a sweet 16? How close are they to a National Title? These are already in place here and a National title is at least in the conversation. St. John's will always be there and Mullins will get an extra year or two to get things turned around. Matt can be a part of something special at Iowa State and then his stock will be worth even more. Maybe he replaces Mullins in four years after we have won back to back National titles and Fred is off to Chicago.:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::idea::cool:

Bring in Tom Thibodeau as an assistant. Chicago will never see it coming.

And when Fred replaces Thibs in Chicago, then we'll have a whole buffet of former-turned-current assistant coaches to choose from to succeed Fred. It'd be like some posters' wet dreams.

SJU was in the tourney. Lost an 8-9 game. And they may return two major talents in Obekpa and Jordan next year.

Maybe there's some hard feelings over the Dime recruitment with Otz?
