*** BYU Pregame Thread ***

Whoever put that piece of work together is in for a LOT of needling from his coworkers! Gotta doublecheck before you hit that "Send" button!
I think especially because it's your rival's staff that you should be super familiar with and catch relatively easily.

I could see not being super familiar with ISU yet and maybe leaving the staff of  another school you're not super familiar with on there by accident... and even that's not really supposed to happen, but it'd certainly be more understandable.

But I think the fact that it's Utah's staff in particular makes it an extra big whoopsie lol

ISU is up to a 3.5 point favorite. So "smart money" is on the Cyclones.

I like BYU being the underdog in almost every game. The Cougs need to remain humble and hungry as they haven't proven anything just yet.

Hello,

If this isn’t in the right spot I apologize and feel free to remove.

My wife and I are coming in for the game. We will be in Ames Friday Saturday and Sunday. Is there anything we should make sure we see? I have never been to Ames before.

For food is there a specific spot we need to make sure we hit? We aren’t drinkers but we really like good food spots.

Good luck the rest of the season but I hope you lose this week. Go Cougars and after this week go Cyclones.
Do NOT go to Hickory Park. Might as well tell someone who's never been to Ames to go to Applebees.

Overall best choice: The Cafe
Like the Cafe but more upscale: Aunt Maudes
Pizza: Great Plains
On Campus: Cafe Beaudelaire
Pizza on campus: Pizza Pit
BBQ: Watcha Smokin (in Luther)
BBQ without leaving Ames: Cornbred
Burgers: Flight (in Huxley)
Breakfast/brunch: Provisions Lot F

All of that sounds great, and not to be a foodie, but does Ames have ethnic food, outside of perhaps Mexican? Indian, good Chinese or Japanese?

If not the recommendations sound great.

Wasabi for sushi, Mucky Duck for British food, Ichiban in campus town for Japanese, Thai Kitchen or The Spice for Thai food, Beaudelaire has Brazilian food

If you to go to only one, which one would you choose. Ichiban sounds like one of the chains or franchises, am I wrong?

Fine, I'll do it.

The Cafe is SUPER overrated.

God bless you. Couldnt agree more.

Also, Hickory Park has been overrated since the ownership change.

If you want the best area BBQ, go to Cornbred. Better than Whatcha Smoking, IMO

I also think new people need to know Great Plains is not a typical pizza experience. It's really not "pizza". It's more like if pizza got it on with a gormet fresh bread and honey stunk in every once in awhile as a fluffer.

I enjoy these "truth bombs" from you today. Ive never seen the Great Plains appeal, and ive been in ames for 30 years
