I find hope from the quick reaction and treatment. Like a few years back when the player was basically saved from paralysis because the doctors moved so quickly.

If I remember correctly that was a Bills player too?

Tough game played by people. Real people with families and goals and dreams.

Yeah, I think the biggest thing for me personally is hearing that he's good to go. That he's going to survive and be able to move forward with life, with or without football. I hope that news pops soon. But, I do take solace in knowing he immediately had professional medical staff on him within seconds.

As a Bills fan that's been cheering them on for a decade longer than Damar has even been on this planet, I can't shake this overwhelmingly heavy feeling. I still feel sick and incredibly emotional. I hope like hell he's in the backfield for the start of the 2023/24 season.

So long as he survives (has there been updates?) it will be interesting to see if he gets back on the horse or goes on to pursue other ventures.

This is very similar to what happened to Christian Erikson for Denmark at the European Championships in 2020 - and it is utterly amazing that he played in the World Cup last month. Hopefully Hamlin has a similar recovery!
