Re: Pres. Leath addresses the Bubu Palo issue at Hilton today
Okay, I'm sure that I'm not alone here, but this is just exhausting. I think that it is fair to say that probably 90% of us has an opinion one way or the other and the other 10% perhaps just don't care. I have an opinion too, but I am posting this from a point of neutrality. Let's look at the facts:
1. We do not know if Bubu is guilty or innocent of the charges and we never will. I personally don't think that calling him out as a rapist or stating his innocents gains us anything. All we know is that his charges were dropped. We all have our opinions, but I would encourage everyone on each side to be careful with your accusations (both guilt and innocence) because NONE of us knows. Try to remember what this would be like if it were you or someone you loved (either the accused or the accuser).
2. We will never know the facts of the case that were reviewed by the judges, president or BOR. We have a system of due process which I feel every party in this situation has had an opportunity to use and has used to the fullest extent. As I posted earlier, we are where we are. Agree or disagree with any part of the process is our rights, but all hypothetical when we don't know the facts.
3. I am a firm believer that everyone will at some point have to answer for their actions. Weather that's Bubu, the accused victim, judges, BOR, president, AD, whoever is involved in this case. Things have a way of working themselves out. Even if we, as fans, never see that fall out, it does happen. Cause and effect. So.....if there are persons or people who have stepped out of line, have their own agenda or perhaps just screwed up (that includes ALL involved), their day will come.
I love the passion of our fan base which can create these posts, but try to take a deep breath. Sadly we will never have the facts or answers.
