There are different tiers of transfer at ISU. In the Fred-era and beyond, I consider 3 to be elite. Royce, Kane, and Shayok. Here is how Brockington compares to them. Only 9 games in, but pretty damn impressive.

Brockington: 17.4 PPG. 7.8 RPG. 1.2 APG. 51.3 FG%. 47.8 3P%

Royce: 13.4 PPG. 9.3 RPG. 5 APG. 53.4 FG%. 33.3 3P%

Kane: 17.1 PPG. 6.8 RPG. 5.9 APG. 48.3 FG%. 39.8 3P%

Shayok: 18.7 PPG. 4.9 RPG. 2 APG. 49.6 FG%. 38.6 3P%
That is impressive. Need to make it through the big 12 gauntlet putting up these numbers. He seems to be a better shooter than kane, but i think people comparing them seem to he forgetting that kane played with niang and ejim. So there was more balance to the scoring. Tyrese hunter is the only one else who scored double digits against iowa, and he had 11. This team is much more challanged offensively than kanes team was.

I have always thought the birth of Hilton Magic was the THREE OVERTIME THRILLER WITH BARRY STEVENS & CO....

THE HOK FANS WERE REALLY PISSED OFF AFTER THAT GAME!!

well…there has never been a 3 OT game in the history of the series.

Wow I didn’t remember Kane putting up those number. That’s amazing.

he doesn’t match the numbers or wins. But in terms of one year players of importance to the program, I’d throw Jake Anderson in there too.

This came up due to the algorithm on YT. Lists IZB as 6'5" had no idea he could play this much above the rim. And to my casual eye, he looks way more 6'1/6'2" when I watch. May be due to his frame.

Thought this was interesting:

Kane's year is one of the best seasons in ISU history.

He's listed at 6'4" on Iowa State's roster. That's without shoes.
