I struggle to think of a better two way player for us since I’ve been watching ISU basketball (which is a long time). Very few have had multiple 30 point outbursts and those capable offensively were not locking down the top scorer in the country and projected lottery pick on the other end (giving up 4 inches by the way). This is not to mention 10 boards (5 offensive).

The energy and intensity required to play at that level on both ends is ridiculous. That was a special performance tonight.
Dedric Willoughby under Tim Floyd. Could score 20 plus and shut down the other team's leading scorer.

I have always thought the birth of Hilton Magic was the THREE OVERTIME THRILLER WITH BARRY STEVENS & CO....

THE HOK FANS WERE REALLY PISSED OFF AFTER THAT GAME!!
Yeah, Barry Stevens (RIP), Ronnie Harris, Terrence Allen.....
And I see Jeff Grayer's name on this thread. I worked the desk at 20th C. Lanes in Ames, and Grayer came out one eve to bowl with his GF. He was smoother in basketball shoes than bowling shoes.....

I think Stinson is a good comp. IB a better shooter tho i think. Ejim was much bigger, and Grayer i was just a kid so cant really say.

What gets me is his EXPLOSIVENESS.That quick twitch muscle thing. He's like a Monstar out there sometimes, just defying the laws of physics.

Immese physical gifts, great skills, and the mental part too - bball IQ, determination, confidence. He sounded like a coach in the postgame interview w Hefty. What a home run for TJ.

There are different tiers of transfer at ISU. In the Fred-era and beyond, I consider 3 to be elite. Royce, Kane, and Shayok. Here is how Brockington compares to them. Only 9 games in, but pretty damn impressive.

Brockington: 17.4 PPG. 7.8 RPG. 1.2 APG. 51.3 FG%. 47.8 3P%

Royce: 13.4 PPG. 9.3 RPG. 5 APG. 53.4 FG%. 33.3 3P%

Kane: 17.1 PPG. 6.8 RPG. 5.9 APG. 48.3 FG%. 39.8 3P%

Shayok: 18.7 PPG. 4.9 RPG. 2 APG. 49.6 FG%. 38.6 3P%
