Lots of talk after Jerry Palm prediction there may as many as eight 5-7 teams in bowls due to lots of mediocrity. To get to one of these bowls at 5-7, the APR is most important. Nebby can lose to MSU and Iowa and still bowl since they are eight in APR in the nation and the seven teams ahead of them look to be bowling with six or more wins expected. So check out our team APR, Paul. Three wins may have us bowling.

If you're invited to a bowl game with a 5-7 record turn it down. If Rhoads gets that invite, he'll keep his job.
See this is the problem. With our situation now if we go 5-7 I think without a doubt he should be back. I don't think 5-7 should ever get a bowl game, but what you said shows you would rather we fail just so we can get rid of Rhoads.

I'd rather not fail so we could get rid of Rhoads. I'd rather see him win out and keep his job. My biggest problem is that 5-7 can be rewarded with a bowl game. I find that ********. Reward a team with a winning record. If Rhoads goes 5-7, I feel he will be retained.

The way you said it made me read it like him staying would be a bad thing. I completely agree if we go 5-7 we don't deserve a bowl, but I also don't think turning it down on principal is a good idea.

Agreed. Playing in a bowl means extra practices and one more game of experience for our players. We have a lot of young players who would really benefit from this.

Will people here really be happy with a 5-7 record, knowing that we ****** away the Toledo game, and did nothing for an entire half in the Iowa game in which we led at halftime?

For me, only way Im OK with CPR staying is if we win 4 of the last 5.

If we win 3 of the last 5, Rhoads will have 4 Big 12 wins for the first time ever. And two losses in the non-con to what might end up being teams with a combined record of 24-0 (even if they are both MAC quality) is not earth shattering. I have consistently wanted Rhoads to go but thought that 5-7 would and should save him. My mind has not changed on that
