Bowl Game

It does pay, but camparitively it pays a small amount. I believe it pays $750,000 which is more than nothing, but campared to the money some of the other bowls give out isn't very high. Either way I would take it!
Looks like Houston and Shreveport have family ticket packages available for around $100. Only bowl I have been to was Shreveport...I would definitely go back now that the kids are old enough to go...also Christian artist Kutless gives a free concert after that game and we dig Christian music...so an added bonus for Shreveport...my wife has family in Houston - we would go there too but a little longer drive and a little more gas.

How about getting everyone healthy, and winning four more games? Makes us 9-3 and eligible for a very very nice bowl! I'll settle for 7-5 and any bowl.
I think the bowl game that fits this teams attitude and mentality would be the Independence Bowl against Auburn....
Laugh if you want but I think that if we were to go to that bowl and play Chizik this team would win at whatever means possible.
I like the bowl because its easy travel for fans, we always bring alot of fans to that bowl (I went both years) and I think that it a great platform for CPR to build onto next year.
However, after saying that I would go to a better bowl and play a different team in a heartbeat, if that opportunity presented itself to ISU.
I just think this is the most reasonable prediction at this moment, and the one that is going to give us the most success

That would be a match up to more likely occur in the Insight, here is the current bowl line ups for the Big Ten (IMO):
Rose: Iowa Vs. USC/Oregon
Fiesta: Penn State Vs. TCU
CapitolOne: Wisconsin Vs. LSU
Outback: Ohio State Vs. South Carolina
Alamo: Michigan Vs. Oklahoma
Champs Sports: Michigan State Vs. Miami
Insight: Northwestern/Purdue Vs. Iowa St.
Total guesses, but that is how I see the Big Ten currently playing out.

I wouldnt say that the Independence bowl is easy travel for fans. Its a ***** to get to shreveport, either you pay a ridiculous amount to fly there, you drive the long drive there, or you fly into dallas and make the long drive over.
I think our best chance for success is the Texas bowl. Id rather be there, or insight. Shreveport has nothing.
oh lord.... if we played auburn in the independence bowl. boy oh boy. we would lay the wood to 'em. i dont think it would be possible to have a more inspired/****** off team in a football game.
I can see what you mean, I guess my biggest concern is I want to play a BCS conference school, I really dont like playing a directional school type that had a 9 and 3 season, simply because they arent as fun (unless you kick the **** out of them) and I do not think the teams takes them as seriously either, it almost would seem like another early non conference game for the Cyclones instead of what is really at stake.
But i am not going to be picky after watching the last three season, and saying to myself just give them time and they will be better, I would take any bowl game against any opponent and I think any Cyclone fan should be happy at the least with our success so far
