Anything you are paticularly interested in? Having a hard time pinpointing anything with the list you provided. Science Fiction?

I like a wide variety of genres. Scienc fiction and humor are probably what I tend towards these days.

Science Fiction - Leviathan Wakes (1st series of the Expanse)
Adventure, Non-Fiction: The River of Doubt. Just read it and really liked it.

I really enjoyed this book.

The Martian is one of the easier (and good) fiction novels I've read in a while.
Do you like history or government books? I really liked Thomas Jefferson and the Tripoli Pirates. The Liberty Amendments by Mark Levin was a little dry but educational.

McCullough's John Adam's was a long but really great read.

Husband liked Flash Boys, I haven't read it yet but it's sitting on the counter.

The Lincoln book Team of Rivals was really, really good. Meacham's Thomas Jefferson The Art of Power wasn't bad, but a little preachy and dry in spots.

For novels, I'm currently reading The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt and it's every bit as great as I expected. She's a pretty amazing writer.

I just finished Stuart Scott's book. I thought it was pretty good. About his cancer battle

Read that book and American Sniper while traveling last spring. Recommend both. A friend gave me Cold Mountain a while back and I'm hoping to find time this semester to read it.

If you have any interest in WW2, "With the Old Breed: at Peleliu and Okinawa" is a gut-wrenching auto-biography about a marine's experience in the Pacific theater of operations. Part of the mini series "The Pacific"was based on the book. I highly recommend it. My grandfather's generation were some tough s.o.b.'s.

I second leviathan wakes. I haven't read it yet but it is my next book. The expanse was great.

All non-fiction:
Brotherhood of Corruption by Juan Antonio Juarez, about corrupt Chicago cops
Confessions of a Tax Collector by Richard Yancey, former IRS agent reveals inside IRS life
Escape from Camp 14 by Blaine Harden, true story of only person to escape hard labor camp in North Korea
