I'm lighting it up. I'll post a picture. Hopefully I won't die.

You might want to set a trap outside the nest to see what you're dealing with. Apparently yellow jackets like fish...

Use this as the bait for your trap:

It is a miniture bent wood chair and fishing pole. Apparently yellow jackets love fish so they won't be able to resist.
You've got that all wrong. They don't love fish, they love TO fish, they'll be fighting over that rod and reel and get all agitated and probably lash out at the OP.

Rig the little chair so it tips back and dumps the would be angler into a hidden waiting trap below and then tips back into place for the next fisherman. You'll have all of those bastards in no time.

You've definitely got yellow jackets.

I had the same problem last year with a hive in my retaining wall. I went to war with them for several weeks. For 20-30 minutes a day I'd stand back and potshot them with wasp spray as they flew out of the hole. Finally I was able to kill the queen by doing a stealth mission at night and putting some professional grade wasp killer powder I ordered off the internet. :th_Jttesur:

Haven't had any this year.

Look into a dust product, I have used Drione and Delta dusts in the past with stellar results. The dust puffs in there and fills the air and coats the sides, as opposed to seeping into the ground. It's relatively safe as well as they are pyrethrin based.

The Delta Dust is waterproof, where the Drione is not, The Delta will linger longer because of that.
