Audi Crooks to Transfer

OH YEAH - you DEFINITELY type like "someone in the know"

lol dude you're a just f'ing loser and it shines through very brightly

I don't know the guy and I have no idea if he's right or wrong on this. But blaming the NIL boogeyman is silly. This program has been an absolute sieve the last 5 years when it comes to retention. It all started with Donarski and Fritz, and it hasn't stopped since then.

I do know someone who was around the team at that time and much of what's been said about Bill seemed to be the case then as well. If you can turn yourself into a complete robot ala Emily Ryan or Ashley Joens you have a chance at survival. But if you cant, and your not one of the chosen few who fall in Bill's good graces, it's not a place anyone would want to be.

I'm 100% on board with BF being the main problem. we also had 3 players that wanted some decent paydays, but I agree with you about the main problem.

I assumed she was more referring to defenses being able to double and triple her to keep her from getting the ball in the first place. The more shooting around her, the less teams will be able to do that.
We threw a lot of skip passes to try to take advantage of the attention she was getting down low but our guards weren't always able to attack closeout situations or make shots with consistency.

That's what she's referring to but she's way off base. As I mentioned, we had the #18 best 3 point shooting team in the country last year with a dominant post. For ISU last year (and the year before), the shortcomings were almost entirely on the defensive end of the floor.

Or I hope Audi isn't saying that to win an NCAA tournament game with her as the centerpiece, she needs the best 3-point shooting team in the country because that doesn't make sense. Playing some defense or being part of a coaching staff that improves a player's defense would help her game.

I haven't watched it but for anyone that has, would the Unrivaled league be a better fit for Audi than the WNBA? I would image a 3v3 with no running down the court be in her wheelhouse. She has been pretty good one v one on other centers (Lee and Prince come to mind).

Albeit much smaller, it's still full court.

Or…maybe Audi just wants better than her teammates shooting 3-22 from 3 - and scoring 26 total points.
Makes sense to me.

Here's what an Unrivaled game looks like, for example. Up and down a full court with lots of space. She would struggle here:

The Olympics 3x3 was pickup-game style played on a half-court (if even that big).

Ok I didn’t realize Unrivaled was still full court. She’d do a little better in Unrivaled than Olympic 3x3, because you can still run a structured, half-court offense.

But she would still be a liability I’d think (having only watched a couple minutes from that clip) because of her defense and inability to run in transition.

Oh wow, I was so wrong. Audi would not be good at all in 3 v 3. Maybe her bag is to bring back 6 v 6?

That's a bad game for sure but not really representative of the typical level. We were #22 in the country in 3PM (#3 in the Big 12) #18 in the country in 3P% (#1 in the Big 12) in 2026.

I think she'd get eaten alive, every defensive rebound by a guard would essentially be a 3-on-2 runout.

Yeah I agree. But with this format she would get a lot of one-on-ones on the offensive side of the ball, where she’d be dominant. Or defenders help and teammates who are, presumably, good shooters get wide open 3’s.

Her team would really need to control the pace. Like Hawkeye style basketball

When was this Unrivaled league played?

But none of that matters unless you can effectively pass out of the post. She just wasn't athletic enough to gather herself and make a solid pass out of a double or triple team. Well coached teams are going to keep doubling and tripling until she proves she can read it and make a good pass out. And I'm not sure she can do that.

I wonder what will happen if Audi is on a team with another big who demands double-teaming. She could flourish in that context.

After reading the complaints about Audi, they should be overjoyed she is leaving. The second team All American was the problem. I thought it was more about injuries, especially Addy Brown. Addy was never the same. No one else could fill her role. Newcomers inconsistent. Audi did herself and everyone a favor it sounds like to me.

I think it is more of a failure on the coaching staff of not getting the best out of Audi. I even put some of the effort issues on the staff. If they were having her take plays off on defense due to conditioning, they needed to play her less minutes so she could give higher effort. They also could have done some things differently on defense to compensate for liabilities on defense.

I still want Audi to have success and hope the next team/coaches bring out the best in her.

This reeks of a man who also thinks he could land a plane with no training or beat a Williams sister in tennis.
How hard can tennis be? That racket is huge!

Negatory on the plane…a Challenger MT665b has me f’d up at the moment. Computers don’t belong in tractors. And a 3 pt hitch control shouldn’t have 6 different buttons.

Wow, if I was someone on the ISU team that played with her I'd be pissed seeing a quote like that. Tone deaf and basically throwing her teammates under the bus by essentially saying she needs teammates that can knock down shots. She didn't directly say that was the problem this year but a statement like that is basically saying it.

And what the hell has she been working on for the past 3 years if she is just now saying she needs to work on more outside range and be better defensively? The defense especially we all knew was an issue going back to her HS days and I thought this past season was some of the worst effort on that end I've seen her play at ISU. Those quotes along with all the players leaving sure doesn't paint a pretty picture of how she likely contributed to the culture of the team this past season.
Second leading score in the nation, and she felt that she wasn’t getting the ball enough reading that

I am not going to say who told me this, but 2 people that absolutely know, there was a lot of frustration from a contingent of players with 1 player.
As I stated before group A went in the portal as a result. The individual saw there was no team left around her and chose to leave as well

These are the facts, this is not primarily an NIL thing.
And I’ve heard the same thing
