Audi Crooks to Transfer

So what is the name of this site?
Sorry I thought people would know. Burner Ball by Skim Milkey, the guy known for the gifs whenever someone is about to commit.

Pretty sure Williams and Blum are on there -- in that recent episode where they commented on how the team didn't like playing together....it kind of felt like they were clued into the details available on there (or someone in the program shared with them...they didn't feel bad about sharing that summation with a wider audience either way).

Its why I don't think I'm breaking any rules by just saying there's more to the story. People are slowly learning the deets one way or another...and it's all in the past now anyway.

Sure but this is the ONLY offense ISU runs. Other teams are probably mixing it up a lot more than Bill is. Great teams do play from the inside out. This is much more than that.
You don't watch many other teams I would guess. This has been Bill's style for sure but he is not the only coach that coaches this way.

That’s kinda what I expected.

You can’t keep a team happy with one person having that much of the $ and attention without winning.

It’s even worse when it’s clear that that person isn’t as dedicated or putting in max effort.
When a coach treats one individual different than everyone else it going to create issues. If the team is underachieving, those issues will be magnified. Bill has done this for years and mostly got away with it. The roster this year was different than past years.

Her wanting to be surrounded by better shooters is pretty hilarious. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen her pass out of the post.
I assumed she was more referring to defenses being able to double and triple her to keep her from getting the ball in the first place. The more shooting around her, the less teams will be able to do that.
We threw a lot of skip passes to try to take advantage of the attention she was getting down low but our guards weren't always able to attack closeout situations or make shots with consistency.

There were grumbles back when Ashley Joens came back for a 5th year that some other members of the team weren't thrilled with that, likely because it meant another year of post-ups by the star while everyone else watches and gets a kickout once or twice a game. I'd imagine it was a similar situation with Audi, but Audi doesn't call those plays / set that offense.
Audi wasn’t the start of that “situation”. Having one golden player has been a feature of Bill’s offense for the last 10 years- about as long as he stopped playing defense

Someone can have a nice personality but still be a bad teammate. Those things aren't mutually exclusive.
Bingo. A good example of this is there are plenty of stories out there from players that played with Michael Jordan that he could be a real a-hole as a teammate at times. He's the GOAT and players had no problems tolerating it because they won rings with MJ. When you don't win is when stuff like being a bad teammate becomes more of a problem publicly.

For womens basketball I watched Iowa and Iowa state, I would occasionally watch a sunday womens basketball game on ESPN. If other teams are dumping the ball into the post as the first, second and third option please learn me.

This is what im trying to say. Its not really even an offense. No real movement, maybe a little at top of the key, but its "go to a spot and dump the ball into one person in the paint." Same style for years.

But none of that matters unless you can effectively pass out of the post. She just wasn't athletic enough to gather herself and make a solid pass out of a double or triple team. Well coached teams are going to keep doubling and tripling until she proves she can read it and make a good pass out. And I'm not sure she can do that.

you just have the worst takes on every topic, it's honestly impressive.

We cut our already relatively meager WBB spending, the whole f'n team left because we couldn't afford to pay any of them and it's hard to sell how next season would be worth taking a big paycut when we've failed 2 seasons in a row with mostly same personnel (and coaches). Addy and Audi were roommates and by every account good friends. Audi's personality as never been an issue and there's never even been a hint of teammates frustration - just dbs like you on the internet spewing nonsense.
Or maybe i'm more in the know about certain things than you are. I've also never said her personality was an issue.

My assumption in general when bench players leave is the plan is (i) put up stats at a lower level then (ii) transfer back up to high-major for a bag. No one's getting a bag from Toledo WBB.

Skim Milkey?

That is outstanding!

I haven't watched it but for anyone that has, would the Unrivaled league be a better fit for Audi than the WNBA? I would image a 3v3 with no running down the court be in her wheelhouse. She has been pretty good one v one on other centers (Lee and Prince come to mind).
I haven’t watched Unrivaled, but I watched men’s and women’s 3x3 in the Olympics. It looks like it requires wayyyyy more conditioning and versatility than normal basketball.

All 3 players are constantly moving, have to defend the perimeter, and be able to shoot from the outside. I think this would be the exact opposite style of basketball Audi would excel at.

I don't know much about the 3x3 game but I think she would struggle. She'll get absolutely lit up by any post who can shoot a bit.
