Audi Crooks to Transfer

It's Bill's fault, yet he's untouchable because he beat UCONN in 1999. Audi, Addy & Jada are #'s 1, 4 & 7 in the CBS WBB Portal Rankings.
The fact that the team was so mediocre with this level of talent (even if one of them was missing for a good chunk of the year) is an alarming condemnation of the coaching perfomance.

This thread fits CF. Absolutely pointless. Two sides going back and forth about the value of an All American that by most neutral observers would say undeserving based on her unwillingness to play any D.

Personally I wish her the best but am relieved she transferred. Seeing her jersey in the rafters would of been hard to stomach.

@Challenger06 so what do to disagree with?
The board is split on Crooks. Or I’m relieved her jersey will never be in the rafters. Either way you’re looking rather stupid.

You want me to provide you a link of a conversation had over beers who absolutely would know this information?

Just because you don't believe it does not make it true.

Bahahahahaha, pretty much what I expected. There are a LOT of middle-aged (or likely older) dudes in here who sure think they know everything about the situation. And I don't believe any of you random internet posters. Anybody can post anonymously some 'tip' they heard from someone 'in the know'. Sure, Jan.

It really is. When you accomplish nothing with players every other team wants to have, you didn't set your team up for success. That's as obvious as it comes.

This thread is fascinating with the amount of vitriol being heaped on Audi. The Fennelly apologists have successfully steered blame for the mass exodus away from Bill, with unsubstantiated rumors of clubhouse drama (Audi's fault), player pay cuts (Jamie's fault) and a broken system where this is happening everywhere ("bags" being thrown at our players).

Bottom Line: Losing a two-time All American and a pair of McDonald's All American's from the ISU WBB Roster is CATASTROPHIC. It's Bill's fault, yet he's untouchable because he beat UCONN in 1999. Audi, Addy & Jada are #'s 1, 4 & 7 in the CBS WBB Portal Rankings. Our bench players (Williams, Beatty & Wilson) are being snapped up by historically above-average programs (Indiana, Mississippi State & Toledo). What has happened to us this offseason is unprecedented in terms of talent departure, and somebody (CBF) needs to answer for it. How his facilitation of "toxic culture" doesn't rise to "for cause" is beyond me - it's been enough for other athletic departments. I know Jamie will never fire him - at this point I'd settle for an honest / in depth Tommy Birch interview where CBF discussed this season / offseason.
This is fair criticism. It's going to be Bill's last year this year. IMO, Jamie regrets how he went about firing Dan McCarney as a young AD with everything he did for ISU and he has been fortunate Mac has always stayed in the fold. He's trying to not repeat that mistake. And let's face it, now is not the time to try and fund a fresh buyout. People are passionate about the women's program and will disagree, but both JP and BF have a say in how this goes.

Bahaha and then some random poster who has no access to information can doubt it because he is completely in the dark, has no information to refute it and chooses to deny it

I think you will find I don't post random information that I just make up

Indiana - 12 players have transferred out in the last two years. Three of the six that transferred in from last year transferred out this year.
Mississippi State - 14 players have transferred out in the last two years. Two of the five that transferred in last year transferred out this year.

I agree Bill will be a much better former HC than current.

Think several others have backed up same

What makes you think I have no access to information?

Good luck proving a "fact" that is unprovable, short of players from the team coming out & saying they hated playing with each other.

Where is the link saying everything was CBF fault?

Coach, Players, Staff, Parents all seem to have had issues. NIL error is going to be a **** shiw....

I didn't claim it's all Bill's fault, and definitely didn't claim it as FACT as some other posters are doing with nothing to support such claims.

I have had conversations and a few beers with someone who would be in the know. Guarantee it, am I a liar also?

What's your point? We're interested in our turnover, not that of IU or MSU. They're historically above-average programs in the two best WBB conferences in the country, and they've signed our bench players early in the portal process, suggesting they were identified as "priority" acquisitions. My point is that we lost desirable players beyond Audi, Addy & Jada - the site "know it all(s)" suggested these players needed to go down a level - seems the "market" disagrees. These losses sting, both now and going forward.

I think Bill did a poor job. Its also possible that this particular combo of skilled players, just don't go together. It'll be interesting to see what they do in their new spots.
