That’s not what was said. What was said is “the most NATIONALLY relevant”. And that may be true. (Troy Davis’ quest for back to back 2000 yard seasons is probably right there with her). But I’m going to contend the “national relevance” might have had some underlying reasons that had more to do with the current pop culture than just basketball. Cause watching this team play was painful.
Send me a direct message. Tried sending you but would not go throughJust say who it is, easy peasy.
I have had conversations and a few beers with someone who would be in the know. Guarantee it, am I a liar also?
Or maybe it is players who reached their talent level and were also mediocre along with the coach. The fact that the team was so mediocre with this level of talent (even if one of them was missing for a good chunk of the year) is an alarming condemnation of the coaching perfomance.
I find the gif to be quite refreshing. So that’s a yes? Obama, really?
You trying to say Jesus Christ couldn't hit a curveball? If CBF offered each of the Big3 $1M each and the remaining transfers $250K each, you’re saying they all would have turned it down?
Ok but I’m definitely just going to post the name in the thread.Send me a direct message. Tried sending you but would not go through
I think his point is Iowa State is not the only team with player retention issues. We have our problems, no doubt but seems plenty of others are also. NIL era is not going to be fun. What's your point? We're interested in our turnover, not that of IU or MSU. They're historically above-average programs in the two best WBB conferences in the country, and they've signed our bench players early in the portal process, suggesting they were identified as "priority" acquisitions. My point is that we lost desirable players beyond Audi, Addy & Jada - the site "know it all(s)" suggested these players needed to go down a level - seems the "market" disagrees. These losses sting, both now and going forward.
That was the rumorYou trying to say Jesus Christ couldn't hit a curveball?
That is fine you do not have to belive me, nor am I gonna name names. The person I talked with is far from full of ****.Could be - there's certainly no way of proving it, assuming you're going to be like the rest & keep it vague with no names. It's also entirely possible the people you guys talked to were full of ****, so there's that.
In general I'm not really a fan of anonymous people on the internet quoting anonymous sources who 'definitely know'. What exactly do you gain from spreading your 'information' online? It's not like you're earning clout or anything - why not just keep it to yourself or name your source? Or, you could just make up literally anything you want to mess with people.
Imagine getting mad over an animated pictureI find the gif to be quite refreshing.
Quality players I think are jumping for money. The rest are chasing maybe money and playing time I'm guessing. Hopefully in a couple of yrs this NIL stuff will settle down. I'd like to start having continuity again.I think his point is Iowa State is not the only team with player retention issues. We have our problems, no doubt but seems plenty of others are also. NIL era is not going to be fun.
Also, Half of the top 50 Freshman recruits have entered the portal, it is not just bench players moving it us quality players also.
I was thinking of this the other day. Maybe they just weren't as talented as we had assumed. Not sure if that's better or worse than underachivingOr maybe it is players who reached their talent level and were also mediocre along with the coach.
I think the parts just didn’t hook together as well as they could have or just didn’t mesh wellI was thinking of this the other day. Maybe they just weren't as talented as we had assumed. Not sure if that's better or worse than underachiving
What makes you think I have no access to information?
Good luck proving a "fact" that is unprovable, short of players from the team coming out & saying they hated playing with each other.
I agree, I didn’t think she was necessarily trashing her former teammates. It is obvious she benefits by having good 3 point shooters.I read a few of you saying that Audi "trashed her teammates." I did a Google search and this is all I found in a statement about "what she wants when evaluating potential destinations."
"I would say a concrete culture and decent shooters," the former Iowa State star told Bleacher Report. "I need some people who can really knock it down beyond the arc and make my life a little bit easier in the paint."
I don't read this as a criticism of the past. It isn't necessarily an analysis of what she didn't have. It is just what she wants. Even if she had all these things at Iowa State, she still might want to go somewhere else for them too, particularly if the pay is better or if there are other attractive features.
There is a long long list of more relevant.Haha - so you obviously disagree with Brent Blum :
I don’t think there’s been a more nationally relevant player at ISU - in any sport - than Audi Crooks.”
