Actually brought him back on staff, he was out as an assistant at Washington when Prohm got hired. But the point remains he was the other leading candidate for the job when Prohm got hired.
To say the least. I think he showed potential to be able to call a good game here and there, but a lot of games this year really felt like he was just "pressing buttons" so to speak and calling a play, just to call it. There wasn't a lot of running this, to set up that.
We'll obvs see how PSU goes, but he was better last year with better talent at the WR position (NFLers Higgins & Noel.) Better weapons obvs make any OC look better.
The guy I wish we could keep is Clanton, but I'm sure he is PSU-bound. Retaining Pauly would be awesome as well. That guy is a future OC and probably HC.
Clanton and Pauly are both gone. The only ones I think there is any possibility of keeping are Poteat, Landry, and Waters.

I was never very impressed with Mouser but we've traditionally had sub-par OCs so I get why people liked him. I think he'll grow into a good OC but think he may be in over his head at PSU. They don't allow for the growing pains he'll have there

I wouldn't be shocked to see Poteat stay at Corner Backs or Landry at Running Backs (if Roehl takes TE). I'd be reasonably surprised in the final 10 if there is more than one assistant that isn't in the 12 listed above.
Bryce Paup is not being retained at Iowa State and declined an analyst type position at Penn State.
Looks like he'll join Mark Farley as an analyst at Illinois.

Is there still a limit on # of coaches a team can have?f It used to be head coach plus 10 assistants.
