Has the rot started to creep in?

Apples to oranges.

Would Matt Campbell have been able to field a team that could beat Tom Osborne and Barry Switzer back when there were no scholarship limits and the only schools "allowed" to pay players were the Nebraska's and Oklahoma's?

With his recent statements on how hard it is to win at ISU, and that winning the conference isn't the goal.......I have my doubts. You would never hear either of coaches say that. They had the LE attitude of "why not here".

I think early in his tenure at ISU Matt had a little of that himself. Something has changed. Hopefully he can get that mojo back because trying to be Kirk Ferentz isn't a good look.

Johnny Majors never ever beat Nebraska while at Iowa State. Majors and Bruce never ever beat Oklahoma.

Relative quiet tonight in this thread. JoeFrog in Iowa City celebrating a victory over Purdue.
I hate Iowa City traffic, and outside of watching DeJean, Iowa is boring football.

Very happy for the Trice family, team, fans, coaching staff, and Matt Campbell.

Best job he/they have done in years.

Always happy to see ISU win.

I hope Campbell serves me more and more crow.

You kicked Campbell to the curb a couple weeks ago. You are a complete idiot. We would be in chaos right now with your decisions. Trust Campbell. That is what the smart people were saying.

Coaching staff has really turned it around. Lots of potential wins out there. Hope this running attack can be maintained. Oline is looking better. Becht didn't look very sharp and we still won handily.
Speaking of the Oline, I think we could get Remsburg back now because he was just supposed to be out 6 games.

One game is one game.

I am always happy to see ISU win.

I hope he can keep it going the rest of the season.

If not, I'm fine with something new.

I just appreciate ISU played to win.

Going for it on 4th and 3 was gutsy and the correct call.

Where do you put him? Do you mess with line after tonight's performance? Good problem to have no doubt

Shoutout to everyone who didn’t jump off the ship and didn’t want to blow everything up. We have a young team, and losing 5 experienced starters doesn’t make this any easier.

Really don’t understand the people who think we’d be in a better situation right now if we fired CMC and went with some random MAC coach that the B10 teams didn’t want. Maybe cheer for Ohio State next year or something idk
