Maybe CMC should send Prohm a thank you card.
The fact people are now debating which turd smells worse may mean there is some merit to how bad football is getting.
Prohm has a stench at a whole new level.

It's sad that we're doing that, yes lol I was merely stating how bad that loss to Florida A&M was. The MAC is completely different than the SWAC, like it's not even comparable. Ohio is competing for the title this year and could/should win 10 games. That FAMU team went 12-15, we were their first P5 victory of all time, and we also were their second win all season and they won on New Years Eve lol.Maybe CMC should send Prohm a thank you card.

Just remember that sports aren't end all be all, even though in my life, they consume a lot of it. My biggest issue isn't the emotional toll.. I'm an ISU fan for crying out loud. It's the financial toll. Everything's so damn expensive right now and driving all the way to Ames on Saturday and everything that comes with that just to watch our offense sleep walk is putting a bad taste in my mouth. It’s around this point that I remember that entertainment is supposed to bring feelings of delight while distracting me from things I ought to be doing.
If it’s not entertaining, what’s the point?

I don't necessarily disagree with that. I just happen to think it's not likely JP makes that move and I understand that side as well. One caveat I would throw in there is that if that were to happen on the back of a really good defense and poor offense like we've had, there better be a pretty good plan for remaking the offense. This "get better at doing what we're doing" stuff has to be gone and we have to find something we can do. I think we're asking the offense to win in really tight margins across the board. We're asking for a lot of difficult blocks to be made, small holes to be hit, and small windows to be thrown into. Like, just run that last TD series on the first series of the game. Just try it. When it's 2nd and 8, take a shot down the field. I'm not going to ***** about that stuff but when we hit 2nd and 8 and presumably try to run the ball so we can get to like 3rd and 4 for the 15th time in the game my blood starts boiling.

Higgins had the ability to run by his defender with ease on Saturday. I'd have to go back but I think we only let it rip two times? Both good throws, and if I remember correctly, both should've been PI but only one was called. The plan seems to be: we're gonna run our few plays; if we score fine; if not we're just gonna run those same plays until 4th quarter and we have to score, then we might try something different.
I just don't get why a team would have an offensive philosophy that seems to have an aversion to scoring points. It seems like a gross overreaction to the air-raid offenses of a bygone era, and is not well suited to playing in the current Big 12. No, you don't have score 60 points a game, but why is scoring 30 so objectionable?
I'd have to go back but I don't think the person who brought up Prohm was doing so in support of Campbell. They were using Prohm to compare this loss was on that level, which it wasn't. I agree there's no reason to bring him up.I know. But Prohm being used to prop up CMC on this hate everything Prohm website is not a sparkling endorsement of the job he is doing with the football program.
I knew he made you crap your pants, but it's time you wash your underwear because he has been gone 3 years.
Yeah I've thought about this some because I was a pretty ardent PR supporter for too long. While I'll be the first to tell you that right now you can't afford to have a bad football program I'll also say that no matter who you hire there's going to be a fairly significant chance they stink too and with transition costs I think you do have to give the guy a lot more leash because he has had success. I'm as down as anyone but there's a tightrope to walk here and these are the reasons JP gets paid a lot of money. This isn't easy to navigate if this season is a 1 or 2 win season. There will be a lot of people that want change and historically those people haven't brought the wallet with their ******** so it makes it a really tough spot.
Hmmm maybe we should opt for more passing plays? Naw.It seems to be fair to point out that we are only getting sacked on 1.2% of all drop backs. Rushing for 86 yards per game is abysmal but the pass blocking hasn't been terrible.

By far and away the greatest sin. It’s around this point that I remember that entertainment is supposed to bring feelings of delight while distracting me from things I ought to be doing.

I'll also add that maybe it didn't matter, but the pick 6 against Iowa included arguably the worst out route I've ever seen by Norton. If you're running an option route, or at least one that's supposed to look like an option route, you are at the very least trying to make the S or LB there pause. Norton ran basically a banana pattern that was so obvious where it was going by his second step that assuming he had deep 1/3 beside him by the corner, the SS had no reason not to just break hard and undercut that "route."I mean, half of this stuff just isn't accurate. We haven't run power, outside blocking is useless because we don't have anyone who can make a reach block though the TEs and WRs don't help, passing as an extension of the run just really isn't tried because short outs and sprint outs don't count as that, our pass protection has been largely fine if not good as seen by our TD drive on Saturday, and Becht/Brahmer have been the only bright spots in this offense to this point. Becht has made very little in the way of mistakes to this point with his last two INTs being the fault of the receiver, not him and he's very rarely (maybe never?) put the ball in real danger. He is literally the only major component that has been good and that's all despite having no help from the system and little help from the guys he's throwing it to. There has to be a concerted effort to put the ball in his hands because it's nearly impossible to make wholesale running game and scheme changes at this point and the OL isn't just going to show up and be good to very good which is what they'd need to be for this scheme to work. I would completely throw out multiple TE sets, split out my TEs and throw the ball with some run if you actually get light boxes because you almost definitely will because no one is going to dedicate extra resources to stopping our run until we prove we can beat a 5 or 6 man box.

Maybe that pick happens anyway, but I'd say if the design was to run the route like that against a defense that runs a metric **** ton of deep thirds with a S or Cash or whatever they hell they call their hybrid in a zone in the flat, that's terrible, terrible offensive scheming.

I can tell you for sure that if the Banana Out exists, it's only in our playbook. Rocco was definitely looking for an out there and a corner route, based on everything else going on, would have been an insane thing to do, which I suppose is possible. It’s impossible for us to know what happened there, I think everyone got that play wrong. It appeared that was the option and Rocco locked it in and threw it in about .2 seconds. The play hadn’t even gotten close to optimal development when the ball came out.
There is no way he is still on the sidelines when JTS is half empty every week. What's the point? You are the one making him the lame duck. I think he gets 2 maybe 3 years at minimum.
This is not a decent fb team. Where in the world are you getting that? They aren't well coached and they aren't very talented.I’m not down. I’m frustrated.
Maybe I’m too optimistic, but I don’t see rot yet
Just a decent football team with bad coaching on offense.
Campbell has a low potential strategy on offense, and even worse, is a bad tactician on executing that strategy. We clearly don’t teach the details needed at a high enough level, when trying to implement an offense that depends on winning margins on a handful of plays
