lol imagine thinking posts on CF are affecting the hiring and firing of coaches at a D1 football program.

Everyone knows Joefrog is on JP’s radar as to what should be done. I’m sure JP gets up each morning looking for Joefrog posts on CF.

So you have an agenda. You want Campbell fired. Period. Right now.

So who is your replacement? Fair question. Who?
We'll figure it out at the end of the year. Wait till all the good players transfer after this year. Gotta try something new. Wait till people quit going to games because it's coming. I want him gone at the end of the year.

Bet you more players transfer when you fire Campbell versus retaining him.

Who is your replacement?

If by “rot” you mean the volume of negativity from fans, then yes. The offense is very young. It’s not easy to replace starting OL, QB, and RB, especially when it happens as late as it did. Then many players had food poisoning, which according to what I heard, included the QB (heard he vomited during halftime)

I can’t imagine playing football when your stomach is turning. I’m sure we have all had a stomach bug at some point. Remember how unpleasant that was? Now go play a football game while still feeling ill.

Look.. I want to win like everyone else. But let’s be realistic with our expectations

No..but its a reflection of what everybody is seeing. People making the decisions and the money donors that might have a little bit of influence see the same problems that people are posting on message boards. Dissatisfaction with the programs direction surely isn't confined to CF posters.

Holy cow there are some sensitive people in here. Just like Campbells reaction, it was poor in taste. Sorry Campbell, it wasn't that bad. Moronic yes, the dude was looking for a reaction but do you think the Michigan's, Ohio States, and Notre Dame's fans of the world would be more kind? No, they'd eat him up in no time if this was happening there and he'd probably be gone already. He gets more passes at ISU. Ok, some sickness rolled in, but don't other schools have to deal with issues too? Ok the gambling thing happened, that buys some time. But you'd think the extra depth would get us past a mid-level MAC school, but unfortunately it did not. The kicker missed a field goal (somehow is a continuous Achilles heal at ISU) but that shouldn't even be an excuse as to why they didn't win.

I like CMC. But, I also liked Prohm. I probably hung onto the nice guy act a year or two too long. Campbell needs to make some changes soon because the signs of Tom and Nate are showing me that Campbell has his hands on everything and this is going to be another bottom dweller cellar team and well, you're being paid millions to win. I know ISU fans are different and we support culture and show up, but after awhile, trust the process is coach speak and will start getting old. I hope things change, because I'd like to see Campbell stay and make this right.

I don't envy being in Nate's shoes right now, that's for sure. Let's say he is fully in charge of the offense now -- what system do you even run with the talent in front of you? You already know power run is hopeless. Outside running is hampered by poor WR and TE blocking. Horizontal passing is hampered for the same reason. You often don't have enough time in the pocket for downfield/aggressive passing (said pressure also being generated with only 3-4 defenders). Spread can be reasonably defended with the other 7-8 guys available most plays. You can run lots of PA and rollout type plays, but that regularly risks getting your QB killed and often cuts the field in half. Your WRs haven't shown the best ability to get separation from defenders and have been mistake-prone, making that and general air raid principles very hard to execute. Your young QB is staring down receivers a lot and not going through many progressions.

If I'm sitting there, I still decide I must pass the ball more. It's the only thing that moves the ball forward. But actually doing that in reality is questionable at best (on top of lengthening games out more, asking your defense to do more work than they already do).

It's a real **** sandwich.
