And please not the officiating crew we had Saturday. Saturday was the first time that I didn’t feel that crew didn’t care for ISU.
As ISU fans we should remember that crew.

IIRC, that was the crew that called Breeces TD at WVU a fumble in 2021, and also called X for that taunting call against OSU for looking behind him.

Absolute trash

Giving Heacock that info seems to be a mistake.
I think it was a given, seeing how he was on the sideline in a sling. Receivers in slings don't recover in a week..

And you still review the sets on their passing plays regardless.

I'm very surprised ISU is a dog in this game with their leading WR out and no kicking game at a neutral site. Is that what services like Sagarin predict? @Dale any insight?
Sagarin predictor: ISU -1
Massey: ISU -7 (ASU is ranked only 35th in Massey's power rankings)
Team Rankings: ASU -2
Dolphin: ISU -3

Etcetera. Many other computer rankings out there, but the mild consensus is that ISU is a slight favorite.

It was the crew that did the Hutchinson taunting game. I feel they normally suck ass.
The crew that did the game Saturday is up there with David Alvarez for worst in the conference. I would hope they know better than to assign one of those crews to the title game

Hmm you wonder if that is factoring into Vegas line. ISU has had quite a few timely calls go their way.

Something to note - ASU has played 3 different kickers this year and they are a combined 8-16 on FGs. Bend but don't break defense could be very key in this game
Didnt they have an on-campus tryout for a kicker earlier in the year? I think I remember reading that story. If true, with as many close games as we play, that is a huge advantage for Iowa State.

With Tyson out, their two starting receivers for Saturday have 291 and 162 yards on the season, respectively. If I am Heacock, I am freaking loading the box early and often to stop Skattebo. If their unproven receivers continually beat our senior corners (Porter and Purchase) that is a giant tip of the cap to them. You have to make them play left handed though. Stop Skattebo and make someone else beat you. Orange and Singleton need to control the line of scrimmage.

Heacock is really good about taking options away on offense. Having one already taken away due to injury helps him tremendously I feel like

ASU fan from Minnesota passing through. Probably a bit more familiar with you guys than most ASU fans.

Tyson's loss is enormous. He's very good. Compares favorably to Brandon Aiyuk at this point in their careers. If he can get over the injury bug (this is his 2nd significant injury, he missed all of last season), he'll be a high NFL draft pick. The other ASU receivers are... alright. They don't get open reliably. There's people that can run by you if the safeties just outright cheat, and Metayer the TE is strong and pretty athletic, but there isn't a ton of juice outside.

ASU is playing on house money. This isn't what would be considered a good ASU roster by old standards, but coming off the NCAA stuff and just having great culture, they're overachieving. We aren't used to that.

I think you guys have a pretty good chance to win unless some guys really step up or you really screw up. The good ASU teams are gonna be in the next 2, 3 years.

I dearly hope we win, but I'd favor you guys by a TD without Tyson. You might roll us if we just can't get open and you sell out to stop the run.

They do direct snaps to Skattebo in the red zone. He had almost 300 yards vs Arizona the other day.
He is certainly a great back. I hope our defensive strategy is to keep our eyes on his waist and submarine him at the ankles. That will certainly limit his yards after contact. He is not very shifty.

Looks like Tyson got hurt when Arizona was up 35-7 late in the 3rd quarter. That's tough. I watched some of the first half, and Arizona couldn't stop him.
He has damn near 50% of ASU’s receiving yardage for the year. It’s a massive loss for them.
