Absolutely. I assume it's part of the reason they chose Sark, perhaps they think he'll be able to improve this. But make no mistake, Sarkisian is taking a risk with Manning.

Maybe, but with who is grandfather and uncles are, I would bet he is very well seasoned not only physically but mentally on how to play the position.
His skills of most athletes get them so far, the rest is work ethic and how fast you see the situation, and that means repeated reps, and one would have to think, this kids skills would be off the charts in the regard.

I'm certain the kid is a great talent but if you have trouble "under duress" in the SEC no amount of arm talent or throwing accuracy is gonna help you. We'll see, I wish the kid the best and maybe I'm in the minority but the Mannings seem like good people to me. Also, UT is a great school crawling with hot co-eds. Maybe not, that was my point. But do you really think it would drop him from the 5 star category? Anecdotal evidence of him being not so great under duress on CF isn't going to sway my opinion. LeBron is the most hyped high school athlete of all time, lived up to it and then some and his kid is only a top 40 player.
As far as risks go, I'd imagine taking a "risk" on the top rated recruit is among the easier ones to explain to your boss if it doesn't work out.

Compare the qbs Sark coached against other schools over the same time period.
Ohio State? Sark's guys have had better pro careers.
Alabama? The few decent pros they've had were Sark's guys. Outside of that, not much.
LSU? Joe Burrow is one, but nobody else.
Notre Dame? Not even close.
Oklahoma? Now we're talking. Kyler Murray, Baker Mayfield, Sam Bradford, Jalen Hurts. Decent careers. Nothing to sneeze at.
My point is, Sark's track record with quarterbacks is every bit as good as the best, and is a lot better than most. It's not so hard to see why a QB prospects with sights set on the pros would consider him. He's proven time and again that he gets quarterbacks to the pros
