Just watch tOSU go and lay an egg at Iowa next week. I'm not predicting that, but with how this cfb season is going so far for the top teams it wouldn't surprise me. tOSU would have been beat by a team, that beat a team, that beat a team, that beat them, lol. It would finish the circle of awesomeness that is the 2017 college football season.

Iowa blew it against PSU but was able to limit their run game. I will actually root for Iowa to beat OSU because I'm so sick of tOSU getting prefential perspective.

You wanted an undefeated team in the Big 12?

Beat the team that always gets home cooking and a huge benefit of the doubt.

Depending on how it happens of course, it wouldn't surprise me at all if a two loss Ohio State got in over a one loss Big 12 team. (not sure they could pull that off with Oklahoma but they'll try)
Nah, we OH-IOANS would never pull anything shady like that! Actually, I would be okay with that. I almost dislike Okie as much as I dislike the FING M School.

The question is no longer who does Iowa State keep out of the playoffs, but who keeps Iowa State out of the playoffs.

YES! I was talking to a college friend today. He said something to the effect of, "there's a good chance we will ruin *their* season rather than them ruining ours."

It'll be fun to have a game where neither of us is in a spoiler position, but rather, two pretty good teams who both have a lot to gain from winning. Let's see if we can hold serve against OU - history is never on our side, but we shall see. Good luck at WVU! Then let's play for the whole enchilada.

This is effing glorious.

Like several have already said, I don't think we did put the nail in the coffin for the Big XII's Playoff hopes yet. If OU wins out, and ISU wins out (crazy to think but possible), the Cyclones will certainly be a Top 10 team and maybe, depending on other teams' results, a Top 7 or 8 team if we see a lot more losses piling up for the current CFP front-runners.

If that's the case, it's almost in OU's interest fro them to win out, ISU to win out, and for OU to beat us in the Big XII Championship. Crazy to think, but we would be a very good win at that point, and OU would have proven to the committee it can beat the one team that stymied it earlier in the year. It will then have a quality win against every top 25 Big XII team and a road win at THE Ohio State University.

In that scenario, I think OU could very likely get a spot in the CFP.

Of course, I'd love to see madness over the next month just to see lots of 2 loss teams that we might be able to leapfrog. This team has me drinking the Koolaid!

This sucks that we had to lose to Iowa. Wish we could have that one back since we blew that one. Even with that loss to Texas, if we were sitting at 7-1, we would probably be in the top 7-8 right now with a chance to make the top four if we won outright. I know if we played Iowa again we would take them down. Texas, we just flat out played like poop.

ISU owes absolutely nothing to the conference, period. Maybe we will start getting a little respect from them now.

If OU wins out that means a win over OSU, TCU, and at Ohio State and an additional win against TCU or Iowa State (who would be top 10 in that scenario). Putting them at 12-1. Yeah they'd be in.

Let's flip that, with OU winning out until running into the stifling Cyclone defense again.
Clones at 11-2 with 4 top 10 wins ought to make the playoffs.

100% agree but we'd unfortunately have to change our jerseys to say alabama or ohio state

ISU wins out and beats a top-10 (maybe top-5 team) in the championship game. Isn't our resume good enough for a very solid look at the playoffs? That would be potentially 3 top-5 wins with wins over WVU and potentially top-10 team OSU. Scanning the other teams, there likely isn't a better resume.
