I was hoping the Hawks could be something after they pulled off the upset in Ames but looking like that's not going to be the case. Guess we will have to go through the rest of the season with that black mark on our resume.

ISU could easily be 5-0 but that's how it goes.
There was still plenty of learning taking place. Neither loss looks that bad...yet. I think Iowa's lost to two at least decent teams and UT has some things figured out.
Good deal for ISU...agree they have a long ways to go but winning in the way they did yesterday shows some real potential.
In my heart I feel like if we'd gone into Norman 4-0, we'd more likely be leaving 4-1 than seeing a repeat of yesterday. We would have attracted more focus and better game planning from their side, I believe. That's not to say we didn't earn everything yesterday, but we were definitely under the radar after the Texas debacle.
Except I disagree about the KU part. I think we will beat KU but they are looking at us as a chance for victory. I hope we take them by 4 TD's to help go up in the rankings, I just hope we don't stub our toe this coming weekend.
The idea of being ranked is so foreign to me. It would be like winning a billion dollars. I know I won a lot of money but I have no idea conceptually what it really means.
One game at a time. Need consistency. We're getting there, but I'm not gonna let my mind be blown if we do wind up ranked at some point this year.

Along with that, if we show up and take care of Kansas like we reasonably should, that's 4 wins. We're in uncharted territory after the last few years here.
How does a team get 4 wins? Are you combining multiple seasons together or something?
