If that's not intentionally don't for some clickbait then I didn't know what is. I have less respect for that then I have for him to put a B12 champ at 11.
I mean is it crazy if everyone keeps beating up on each other and taking L’s?

Let’s see where the CFP ranking puts Boise St. sure, they may win with their only loss being a close one to Oregon. But they will not have won a single game against a good team. The list of teams that could play a close game against the only good team you play and win against a bunch of G5s is pretty long.

AP means nothing. If BSU loses any remaining game they are for out of the bye. If Oregon loses to OSU and maybe another game or two then their moral victory doesn’t look so good.

If they finish 11-1 and win the MW, the committee might just put them in to give the world more Ashton Jeanty and I would 100% be ok with that.

Penn State beat WVU 34-12. This weekend should be very telling to see how we stack up.
Maybe. But Vanderbilt also beat Bama. Are we going to compare the other top SEC teams to Bama on how they played at Vandy? I don’t know you compare week 1 to week 7.

Pressure is privilege! How do we ever get to the next level if we don’t try to climb some mountains? I was here in the 80’s and there wasn’t a commitment to sports like we have now. It’s now or never.
Our fanbase has been conditioned over the decades to shy away from success. We have a large swathe of fans that can’t grapple that Iowa State is actually good.

I don’t care if we have to climb mountains to do things. Give me repeated chances at it, and eventually you break through.

He might be after some clicks but he might also be the most knowledgeable college media personality about every single team than anyone else in the business.

If Boise is 11-1 with only a loss to Oregon and the Big 12 champ has 3 losses? It’s possible.

Also would be a disaster for perception and narrative for the Big 12.
He certainly keeps up with rosters and injuries more than anyone else. I think he makes a lot of assumptions about rosters and passes it off as in depth knowledge of a team. He deserves credit for his effort in trying to follow the ins and outs of 120+ teams in CFB.

Put them in, sure. Have them as one of the top 4 champs over a one or two loss Big 12 team? I hope not.

But no point in worrying about it until at least 11/5.

Could be, but ISU and most schools have had some bad teams have some close losses to good teams.

When your statement game is a loss, then you don’t deserve a bye. The entire challenge of P4 football isn’t putting things together for a game against your best opponent. It’s playing good enough teams every week, and knowing a B game could get you beat in any of those games.

Put it this way. North Dakota and Arkansas St are currently ahead of 8!!! MWC teams in sagarin. MWC is the 3rd best G5 league behind the SB and American. It’s like the Missouri Valley in basketball. Because it was a solid league with past membership people don’t realize the current configuration isn’t good. MWC is a trash football league.

Why exactly? We have the resume of a top 15 team. Therefore we should be ranked in the top 15. I hate it when our fans do this.
We haven’t played well for a solid 4 quarters.
We've played bottom feeders of the conference.
if we can put a solid 4 quarters together against a good team (this weekend will be a good measuring stick) then lets start talking being ranked as a top 20 team.
I love being 5-0…but there is a lot to prove yet and the team is VERY capable of doing it.

My point exactly. We aren’t playing at the level that deserves that ranking.
You are a good Cyclone fan so I am not trying to argue with you, but Big 12 Radio was saying it is a slight to our conference that we were not top 10. That is the other side of your argument.

I mean, this is college football we're talking about. Every team is developing, every year.

Every program, even those in the top 10, generally has a lot of things they are working on throughout the season. Look no further than #1 Alabama losing to Vandy. Its especially more true outside the top 5 most of the time. Fans of almost every team can point to concerning issues because they all do exist.

It depends on how many losses you think the B12 champ will have. If 3 then possible. The way things are shaping up I doubt the champ will have more then 2 losses.
I agree and that’s what Bud Elliott was predicting what would happen. Teams starting to eat each other.

You still ISU/Utah, KSU/ISU, Utah/BYU. West Virgina hosts us and KSU these next two weeks which we all know is not an easy place to win at. They’ll get at least 1 of 2 of those games, imo.

I still think the CCG is two 7-2 or better but it’s not crazy to think a 3 loss team will win the league.
