Someone must not be telling recruits. They keep joining the Brands fraternity. So like I said, I couldn't care less what you think of them. They are getting the job done. You seem to like CPR ******** and going crazy at refs. We like Brands too. Get over it.

Nobody said he was trying to kill him or anything (though I've seen a few blatant injury attempts from Iowa guys in similar situations) but it is like a hit out of bounds in football. It's bush league and unnecessary. And it draws a deserved penalty. It doesn't matter if it was "not bad" or not.

Didn't the Iowa guy also have a few other marginally-late pushes/shoves during the match? It seemed to me that many times he got one last push in after the ref blew the whistle prior to separating and resetting. The push at the end was the largest of the match, but when he got dinged for it I figured that the earlier pushes may have contributed to the ref's decision to call him for that last one.

Did anyone else see Brands run away when KJ stood up and started walking toward him? Then, he ran up yelled again, and ran off the mat again.

The best part was when Jackson yelled at Brands if he wanted him to come over there and finish it.

One big difference. CPR is a class act. Brands and his mini-me brother are a couple of roid raging morons. They lash out at the refs, the opposing coaches, opposing fans, opposing athletes, etc... Nothing classy about them. Winning is great and they are good at it but there is far more to running a program then just winning. Sportsmanship, fair play, and carrying yourself in a respectable manner are equally as important. No wonder the kids in their program show such class...

Yes. I'm quite familiar with the concept. You stated you "couldn't care less" about what ISU fans think of the Brands boys, yet you've beat the drum for them for the better part of two days. That strikes me as kind of contradictory behavior.

Just like people argue about everything around here. I'm not gonna change anyone's opinions, and I don't care if I do or not....but its the arguing part that most people enjoy.

I will agree with that. Wrestlers are known to be a different breed. They definitely perpetuate that argument. A rather old school approach, for sure.

I actually got wrestling tickets when I first moved to Cedar Rapids because it was close and hey, wrestling, but after a few meets I couldn't do it anymore because of the fan reactions to cheap shots like that. In any other sport I'm fine with Iowa getting second place to ISU's first. In wrestling I hope nothing more than them to get totally embarrassed in every match. Brands is the definition of bush league and that's the attitude he teaches his wrestlers. If they got called for 1/4 of the cheap hits and late shots they do their entire team would be on constant suspension.

Already discussed it. I saw it. Wasn't that bad. Don't condone it, but "cheap" or "bush league" aren't necessarily words I would use to describe it. It was a frustration "penalty". Happens all the time in other sports. Obviously stupid, but he didn't really shove him all that much.

The bush league move is the whinny *** Brands brothers ******** about every call that went against Iowa saying "Only in Ames would this happen". Those two are freaking meat head ruhtards. I am mad they are from my home town.

I remember watching a meet growing up and seeing the brands elbow their opponents in the face after the whistle blew as they were getting up. Real class acts.
