All FB coaching rumors and speculation

by your thinking Chizik should've worked out. Rhoads should've worked out. Everyone between Bruce and McCarney should've worked out.

Seeing as it's easy to win in this conference in Ames Ia. Getting to 7 wins is historic for this program. Now that 7 wins is considered a let down year, I have very little confidence that we can just say "peace" to the coach/staff that made that a reality and things will continue on it's own no matter who takes over.
Lmao, no. Incredibly poor rational on your part. Please do better

There is risk in every transition and hiring hit rates not 100%. I’m not proposing firing him.

But two coaches in nearly the last 30 years not working out, one of which had an okay first 4 years despite being an awful HC, does not suggest much. Nor does ANYTHING that happened 50 ******* years ago. The 90’s aren’t even relevant.

You said this conference. We’ve never played in the Big 12 3.0. We’ve never hired with this large of fanbase due to many reasons. We’ve never hired with this much ability to say it’s a low risk, high reward job (thank you Auburn). Every coach since Walden has had great offers to leave. So save your irrelevant history. The next coach will walk into the best ever situation, and the results of coaches hired in completely different eras and contexts means very little

Was referring to the cycle winding down with CMC still on board. From turning down 8 mil at Washington, to being in contention at USC, turning down 7 mil at Oklahoma, to ND staying in house, it was a lot of sleepless nights.

Is this all real?.....

lol this would be so widely mocked by 99% of the country if it got out.
If you are CMC though, is it wrong? Already have things moving in the right direction. Reasonable expectations, great place for a family, good enough salary. Can probably count on at least 10 years of steady and enjoyable employment.

Taking over a depleted OU program as it heads into a drastic transition with ridiculous levels of difficulty? At the place for football in a football crazy state? Where double digit wins is a floor for success? Intense media pressure and under the microscope constantly?

I'd stay at ISU.

That's all kind of crazy if confirmed.

ND staying in house makes sense to keep continuity with a good thing going especially if it's a good recruiter.

This is dumb, I'd say the last 4 (prior to CMC) didn't work out, 3 were fired 1 left, and probably was going to be fired in a couple of years.
