All FB coaching rumors and speculation

This is similar to dumping a girlfriend. Did you dump her and then say, hey let’s go out to supper and hug it out?

I don't agree with that analogy. I've never had a girlfriend where I looked her parents in the eye and told them to trust me. Never told them I will help mold them to be young men ready for the next steps in their life.

While its not exactly about just the rich moving every second California so overall I'm not sure its quite apples to apples that things are great. Everywhere has its problems, to be sure and yes, Lincoln will certainly be able to survive just fine on that salary because you'd have to be an imbecile not to - but there is a definite trend all over the country for the most part, maybe some larger cities buck the trend, but a general trend of people leaving big cities for various reasons.

Why is California population declining?

In other words, even if COVID-19 had not reared its ugly head, California would still have lost population due to long-term demographic trends — declining births, increasing deaths due to the aging of the population, a much-slowed rate of foreign immigration and losses in state-to-state migrations.May 12, 2021and LA has lost people for 3 years in a row.
Because overpopulation.
Overpopulation leads to huge societal costs. But why did it become overpopulated?

Eventually TX and FL will experience the same thing as money created in the market structures elsewhere look to hide profits there. As a part time resident of FL and frequent visitor of the large TX metros, it’s already well underway.

You think the players or parents want him hanging around? It’s like the old girlfriend, they just want you to GTFO of there.

Kelly is not my favorite coach/person, but you have no idea what contact he has had with his assistants. Also, there is nothing you can say to 100+ players that will make them feel different. Short and simple is the best method. In normal life when a person resigns, do they stand around the water cooler for 4 hours trying to make everyone feel good. NOPE!

Based on my brief visits to Notre Dame message boards, Campbell is not high on their wish list. Freeman & Fickel are the definite front ru
Alright now I'm even more curious....a lot of people travel out of state for work -- meetings, consults, etc that can be from half-day to multiple days. Are they supposed to be withholding taxes from their home state/paying taxes in another as well?

Asking for a...friend

Essentially it depends on if your work is for operating purposes or management purposes; with a few nuances.

If you are self-employed and you take any job out-of-state, you would be subject to tax laws from both states (although some states have reciprocity agreements with other states that need to be considered); however if you are employed by a company that has locations in multiple states and you are sent by the company's management to consult, audit, or meet (in review meetings etc.) out-of-state you generally would not be subject to out-of-state tax.

For more details see your professional tax accountant.

Austin's policies have made it the most attractive homeless person city in the world. Feel free to join them. The rest of the state disowns the Capital.

The rest of Texas is great to live in. If you want big cities, you got them. If you want no neighbors for miles, you can get that. If you want small towns, they are numerous. If you want mid-size cities, they are also all over the place.

Forest? Check. Plains? Check. Hills? Check. Mountains? Check. Lakes? Check. Beaches? Check.

Take your pick.

And no state income tax.
yeah I have travelled to texas quite a bit for business meetings and enjoyed many large cities, smaller cities and rural areas. I always enjoyed it, but a couple years ago i attended a meeting in Austin at the large convention center. I was cheap so stayed about 6 blocks away and figured I could just walk to the meeting. I was stunned by the number and aggressiveness of the homeless. It was honestly a little scary, and I don't scare that easily. But other than that have loved my trips to Texas.

It is a difficult situation. I would not tell my staff to stop recruiting. I would need to know more about the timing to decide one way or another. The assistant does need to grow some, this is a big dollar business and he better be able to roll with it or he will get ate alive.

This makes the most sense. Freeman is responsible for Notre Dame's best recruiting class in a while. If they didn't hire him Freeman goes to LSU and I'd bet a lot of the recruits would as well. Freeman is the best choice for them if they wish to keep momentum and not have a mad scramble to keep their team and class together.

I think if he doesn’t get it tOSU is going to make him the highest paid coordinator in the country.

Austin metro is the fastest growing city in the state...
For the most part, the burbs that make up Austin Metro don't share a number of the more controversial governance philosophies with Austin. Also, after the governor threatened to step in, along with citizen uproar, Austin proper has started to deal with the homeless issue.

Only negative is zero HC experience.....but I agree.

What Jamie isn't saying in that quote is the people taking these big name jobs are making 10 million dollars a year now, which is going to pay more than the 4.5-5 Matt is making now regardless of the tax discrepancies.

And they already have millions and millions of dollars that have already been taxed.

Didn't know much about him until now, he's flying through the coaching ranks. Went from rookie coach to DC at ND in 4 years, while supposedly turning down a number of other top tier coordinator jobs.

I could see that for sure! He won't stick around South Bend to work for a new coach...he has done that job already! If OSU wants him...and they can pay him...he will be living in Columbus for a year or two until he gets the HC job that is certainly coming his way!
