Austin metro is the fastest growing city in the state...

I take the toll road around Austin every other month or so, and every time I do, there is more and more development. Just 4 years ago, it was open fields Now, civilization is overtaking even roads designed to avoid Austin traffic.

Both of those guys made dumb comments. Austin is not the only good place for decent people to live in this state, and the rest of the state, other than a couple of pockets in and around San Antonio and Houston is filled with people I don’t want to know

plus the public beaches are really trashy.

it’s not even remotely true either.

Rich people from around the globe are moving here (LA) every second and it wouldn’t be the case if taxes were actually that bad. If you’re rich owning property in socal only makes you more rich.

Honestly they need policy to deter rich people from moving to CA (foreign and domestic) because it’s the primary source of the housing price and availability issues. Lincoln Riley is not going to lose cash by living in CA unless he’s a moron.

I heard this CA tax rate stuff out of no nowhere at Thanksgiving, must be making the rounds on certain news channels.

This was my response, you’re a moron if you think the richest people and companies are choosing to live/work in a place where they are supposedly paying those taxes.

LSU won National Championships with the likes of Les Miles & Ed Orgeron. I'm sure Brian Kelly will do quite well there.

LSU is a big enough monster that it’s more like a pro team. It’s the opposite of ISU basically. They need the biggest name to get the best recruits, then you throw your cards in. You aren’t going to build a team that can consistently compete with Alabama and Georgia around “5 star culture”. You need 5 star players there.

I guess. But I just don’t think he moves the needle much and he’s so old.

Austin's policies have made it the most attractive homeless person city in the world. Feel free to join them. The rest of the state disowns the Capital.

The rest of Texas is great to live in. If you want big cities, you got them. If you want no neighbors for miles, you can get that. If you want small towns, they are numerous. If you want mid-size cities, they are also all over the place.

Forest? Check. Plains? Check. Hills? Check. Mountains? Check. Lakes? Check. Beaches? Check.

Take your pick.

And no state income tax.
Houston, like most of the state, is a hell hole.

Yeah I think LSU is going to have buyer's remorse, truthfully. I don't think BK will do well there. This was a splash hire rather than a good hire.

I get the concerns that BK has never coached in that region of the country...but BK has won at every school he was HC at! He is a good coach...might not be that good at stroking people but he doesn't care and won't apologize for that. He sees himself as a football coach and is OK with that...will it work? Who knows...but it is a better hire than just handing the keys to some hotshot coordinator that has never been an HC or an HC at a smaller program that doesn't have much experience. Any hire can work...or fail. BK is a safe hire for LSU (although an expensive one).

Tell me you don’t understand how marginal tax rates work without telling me … oh, wait, you literally are telling me you don’t understand marginal tax rates.
Ah. You’re a lot smarter than Jamie then? Congratulations! What about his premise is false? I think his premise is the richest pay a lot more in CA than in any other state.. don’t see how that’s inaccurate.
