Aldi Spicy Honey

Anyone remember when Aldi cashiers typed in all the prices manually and had them memorized? That was pretty amazing.
Now that you mention that I do remember. Even today I am amazed at Aldi workers. They basically have to be qualified to do anything in the store and put in a long day hard day. It sounds like they do get paid well though.

Our office is somewhat close to the Aldi on NE 14th Street. Coronavirus is not in the top 10 of diseases I expect to be exposed to while standing in line to check out.

to be fair that’s any business on 14th.

Way back in the day I used to love it when my mom took us to Warehouse Market in Cedar Rapids/Marion. I got to sit on that giant flatbed cart and write the prices on the cans with a grease pencil.

I saw Aldi has 2 new flavors of a spicy honey (spicy chili and sriracha) that just came out. I have seen some ads for Firebee Honey and it intrigued me but it is pricey ($23/bottle). I really don't want to try it for $23 and not like it. The aldis ones are like $4 a bottle. Has anyone tried either of them? If so, what did you put it on? Did you like it?

need to join the Aldi nerds Facebook group, they have reviews for almost everything .

although aldi has gained popularity, wal mart has their stink eye on them and is starting to match or straight up beat them on price across the board. You want peaches, you have to go to wal mart. You want grapes, you have to go to Aldi. You want a gallon of organic whole milk, you have to go to wal mart. You think 2 half gallons of organic whole milk at aldi are cheaper than one organic gallon at wal mart? u would be wrong. Aldi wins on eggs, Wal Mart has better bread, Aldi used to win at bananas price, Wal Mart matched and then beat and has better bananans. You want frozen lemonade, not at Aldi amigos. You want higher quality tuna in a can, gotta skip aldi, you want big ass bags of cereal, head to wal mart, you want spaghetti spice packs, skip aldi, you want chopped steak ready for burritos, aldi wins. Of course I could go on and on. But you want late night shopping in a pandemic, Hy Vee wins. Where Hy Vee missed the boat was the check out times, Aldi and Wal Mart are crushing them. But the one company who stayed open during the derecho disaster was Hy Vee.

This reads like John Mulaney's Ice-T bit.
