So you started a thread asking why people say Rhoads is a good coach, then you later said you thought Rhoads was a good coach but it's too early to be certain...

What the **** was your point again????

Can we sticky this thread? That way the same people could post the same things after EVERY SINGLE loss of the season.

It would be a very convenient place to vent abotu how our coachign staff sucks and our QB is horrible and how there's no way we should ever lose to (insert most recent team played here).

We don't know how GOOD CPR is at this point, but you don't know how gooda college coach is until you've seen his recruits play for multiple seasons.

I firmly believe that CPR is one of the best possible coaches we could ahve during this rebuilding phase of our program. He is passionate, actually want to be here, has solid coaching ability, and has brought in recruits who are already playing solid minutes.

Right now the status of this program is less about how GOOD CPR is and about how BAD the program was when he got here.

Personally, I think that if you can't handle the rebuilding phase, then go jump on the Hawk bandwagon. Its much more convenient to root for a team that isn't rebuilding. You can fit in and get high fives from the rest of the black and gold lemmings.
Looks like the verdict on Brewster is in. Lucky we did not hire him.

I think he is a very good coach. Maybe not as good as some Cyclone fans thought after last season's performance(I wouldn't be surprised if these were the ones ragging on him now). But still a good coach.

Instead of feeding hawk fan spooner here, I will just say that the attention to detail that this staff has shown over 20 games is exceptional.

The problem is that the program fell back to purgatory under mac, and you add a coaching change two years into the rebuild, and you have a team that will continue to get run over.

Other than the Kansas, and Kansas State games of last year, I have not walked away from one game this year that I thought it was the coaches fault that we lost.....We got run over by teams that are better than us, it happens as you build a program....

This is a conversation to have 2-3 years from now, the answer should be fairly apparent by then.

If you win a bowl game at Iowa State you’re a good coach

I'd say he is. In the one a half seasons he's been here, he has:

1. Gone to a bowl game
2. Won at Lincoln for the first time in 30 years
3. Beat Texas for the first time ever... in Austin
4. Beat a ranked team on the road for the first time in 20 years

and I'm sure there are a few more
