Aaron Craft Must Be Destroyed

Tough draw. As always it comes down to making shots (good ones) and actually D’ing up + rebounding. Focus and we can beat anyone. Scary news is we’ve seen this team get beat by bad teams too.

Not sure what to expect. Already nervous.
??? OSU finished 8-12 in the Big Ten. If we're a 6, this is the best possible 11 we could possibly get...

Only thing is if Wesson can get MJ into foul trouble. That worries me.

Do the same thing to Wesson as to Lawson, and we're fine.

Also, have THT/Wigginton drive a ton, and Wesson will be in foul trouble.

Between Jake, Lard and Conditt, we’lol be just fine.

You damn kids and your made up words.

I could see also doing what Prohm did in the late stages of the Purdue game with Burton and putting Shayok on him and forcing him to guard all the way to the perimeter. Sure fire way to get him in early foul trouble.

I’ve been struggling with typing today. I’m thinking I may have had a stroke.

Why is it that teams in the Big 10 need to practice spelling their state names? Heck, Iowa has to use flags to help them do it...
That is a great question. Have no idea why, just remember being taught OH-IO at a very young age. Does other teams do it also?

Or just look at it the other way around. In 30 games played this year, Kaleb Wesson has fouled out 6 times and has gotten to 4 fouls another 8 times. In other words, he's been in foul trouble at a minimum nearly half of all games this year. Their game plan should be getting him out of the game. Ohio State is 3-7 in Big 10 play when Wesson had 4 fouls or fouled out. They also got smoked by Northwestern when he didn't play - losing by 18.

If ISU can get penetration inside and can get him into early foul trouble, this game should be very winnable.

Wesson weighs at least 50 more pounds than Lawson. Bad matchup for Conditt.

And yet, he's only gotten into double digits rebounding in 5 of his 30 games this year. And yet, he only got 4 rebounds against High Point when he was matched up with a guy 2 inches shorter and 55 pounds lighter than him. That same guy for High Point got 8 rebounds against him. Rebounding has to do with more than just height. Position, timing, ability to box out, etc is everything. Also, if ISU plays good enough D and forces OSU to take a lot of outside shots, then there could be a lot of long rebounds where he's not even a factor.

Comparing to Lawson is ridiculous. Lawson was in double digits for rebounding 20 times this year versus 5 for Wesson.

"Ohio State fan here. I don't know much about Iowa State, but I can share some facts about our team this year. We have a 7'10" center that shoots 87% from the paint and a pair of 6'8" guards that have been compared to Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Our coach is a defensive genius, so you will have trouble scoring. Our weakest spot is three point shooting, where we only make 66%. Feel free to ask me anything about the Buckeyes and good luck!"
Not 6'10". Do not want.
