A loss @ OkSt would be the worst!!!

I am being realistic. We have every offensive and defensive height/power/bench points/3's (except that we don't have a true PG and Royce can't make FTs) to be seeded really high. We just cant afford to lose to lesser teams any more.

Seeding are based on W-L's and who you've beat and lost to, not stats. This is already a 6 loss team. Go back and look at previous tournaments and you likely won't find many 6 loss teams seeded in the top 4 (yes I am sure there are exceptions). Especially when we have no "big" wins in non-conference. Let's just enjoy the run this team is on and the fact that we are even talking about the tourney. No need to go crazy. Enjoy the Kool-Aid though.

The only positive I will say at this point (which I said already) is that we have every possible power in our team to make national noise at the tournament. I don't think if Cyclone nation realizes this. We could be seeded 3 or 4 very easily if we take care of business over lesser opponents. Big 12 has a huge gap between Kansas-Missouri-IowaState-Baylor of the world and the remaining teams in Big 12. I could easily see the top 4 being seeded as high as 1 thru 5.

wow, really? We go from having the worst loss ever if we lose tomorrow to having a chance to be a top 4 seed in the tourney in the same thread? The only way we get into the top 4 is to win out, or maybe win the rest of our games except one of @Mizzou or @ Baylor. Without that, we are a 6-10 seed depending on who we beat down the stretch.

You are nutty.

Ok St is not a lesser team.

Or Texas Tech. But we need to silence Okie State. They ruined Missouri's 2nd rank. They better not ruin ours. We must have Royce White play his game tomorrow instead of taking too many 3's. unless of course the basketball ring looks as big as it did at Oklahoma.

If they consistently double Royce and the 3's aren't falling they will adjust by bringing Ejim to the lane. This will tempt OSU to double with Melvin's man. Royce will make the post pass for Ejim's finish.

Now he just has to continue to do a better job of making the catch like he has the last few games.

Despite little HC experience, Fred knows this game pretty well...

HAHA

You know this is my first post in this year's basketball fairy tale. I have been quiet all this time and didn't want to type anything on this message board. I just have a weird feeling that we will lose tomorrow and that multiplied with the impact of us not being ranked this season yet will kill the momentum.

We have won enough road games. We need to win out at home now. Another road win would be icing on the cake.

The needless and stupid meltdown on here if we lose tomorrow is going to be comical.

It's a toss up game, we may not even be favored.

Disagree!!! Baylor at home will be tough. OKSt is the most winnable road game we have left. I think it is a must win to feel safely in the NCAA Tournament. If we lose this one, there will be a ton of pressure on that Baylor game and we will definitely be a bubble team going into it.

Rivalry games such as Drake, Iowa and UNI doesn't really show you how good or bad you are generally. It only shows how good or bad you are on or around the day of the game. However, in same league play, its very important to take care of business. I probably should have said in Big 12 play a loss as Okie State would be the worst at this time. Regardless, we need to take care of business tomorrow.

I'm not seeing a difference from any other game on the schedule. Care to explain?

Exactly. Since when is a loss at GIA devastating when a week ago, before winnng the last two games,we didn't think it would be. We barely beat them at Hilton and they're not a bad team at home. I just don't understand some people.

Losing at home to a team with a 11-12 record is bad, really bad when putting together an NCAA resume.

Losing on the road, not so bad.

The poster was talking about the B12 tournament, not the NCAA tournament.

You make the craziest threads.

Losing at Okie State would not be the worst. They best Missouri there. It's a hard place to play and I can't remember the last time we won a game there. Losing at home to UNI would be considered MUCH worse

QFT. This is like clonedude and football.

Given the last time we won there Fred was in high school, I am fully expecting a loss tomorrow night.

To describe tomorrow's game, I would say it's literally nothing but an opportunity. A loss doesn't do much to hurt us, a win would do nothing but help considerably. "Opportunity, not a necessity."
