Sorry but his speed will not increase. Not anymore than Montgomerys in the same time. How hard is it to understand that speed matters to NFL scouts? Especially at the WR position. They are the exact same player.
BTW- Do you think the NFL cares if Lazard was suspended? I mean Winston just went #1 and Irving signed with the chiefs.
This post is about first round potential. You show me a WR that runs a 4.65 40 that has gone in the first round and I will admit Lazard has first round potential. Until then, I stand with what I have stated.
Yes.... and Montgomery ran a 4.52. Next you will tell me that Lazard will get faster and Montgomery will get slower under the same training regime.A 4.65 in high school, right?

One of his scouting profiles. I will see if I can find it.Where are you getting DVs 40 time?

That isn't where I saw it but I'll keep looking.
LOL...you are correct. I have never seen Lazard listed as anything better than a 4.65. Like I said that isn't where I saw montgomery's time but.... If Lazard can run a 4.48 then I withdraw that he is not fast enough to go first round.Well this is awkward http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=130803&draftyear=2018&genpos=WR
According to that website, Lazard is faster.....
Agree.I don't think there is anyone currently on the roster who would go before round 4, let alone round 1.
Anyone know how many 6'5 and 210+ pound Wide Receivers ran under a 4.5 forty at their NFL combine?
I'd guess that is incredibly rare...so I don't thing Lazard really has a speed issue.
And, Taz, forty times often DO improve...because SOME of running a timed forty relates to technique. Guys prepping for the combines generally perfect, or strive to, their sprinting technique and so improve their times. Not uncommon at all, really.
If we use Lazard the way he is intended to be used, he can be. There were times last year he looked like an NFL WR.
You just gotta lob it up there, and it doesn't matter how many men are on him, he's catching it.
I hope he does but he doesn't seem explosive enough to me. Still don't think he will be first round
