I bet it has a higher roof than where our team plays volleyball. A high roof would be important to me. I even saw a volleyball lodge in a rafter once. Or was that a basketball?

The only viable option is to do what other schools have done: remodel and retrofit the old basketball arena (in our case, the armory) and make it the VB venue. But that would take millions and millions of $$$ - that we don't have.
Gymnastics might not work due to their space needs being different, but you could easily build an arena that worked for both wrestling and volleyball and kill two birds with one stone.
. . . I'm not sure if CJL even wants a facility like that. Has anyone heard for sure that she would like to have a new one? I have got the impression that she is satisfied and pleased with the Hilton arrangement. . . .
I actually like volleyball at Hilton.
I'm sure another building would be excellent. I just happen to like Hilton for volleyball.
There are much better options than remodeling an old on-campus facility the like Armory.
Construction of a new VB/Wrestling facility could be completed economically at an off-campus site similar to how the Sukup facility was done.

What I would like to see, at a minimum, is a new VB-only court at Hilton. I hate the white lines on the the BB court at Hilton.
This may sound stupid but the volleyball game against UNI I went to at Ames High was one of the better sporting events I've been to. A lot of that had to do with being able to sit on the floor behind the serving line but it was awesome.I saw it at Ames High. That was spectacular, like ian suggested.

I've thrown this out there, but lets blow up the remaining towers and build a venue (for play and practice) for volleyball, wrestling, and maybe gymnastics on that ground.
