I don’t think any one here is content. The issue is we won 10 games and this place is as negative as ever.
Understandable but also, and like, I remind myself of this all the time... it's the internet. Right or wrong.... fair or not, the internet , at least in my experiences... is not a place I expect positivity from. Be it a fan message board after a great win, or just in general.

The internet to me is the place where it can be 75, low humidity, sunny but with just enough breeze and cloud cover to have it comfy and the sun not feel too bright and there will be someone out there complaining about the weather.

That is what I expect from the internet, be it a fan site or just you tube, IG or anywhere in-between.

And coaching , again, right or wrong, is one of those professions where everyone with a fire stick, X box or PS5 controller or just dad or brother knows better.

I never made it to the highest level but even at the lower levels, the crap you hear from people on a campus, in the stands, or just at a HS is insane. But it comes with the territory. Not saying its right.. but it is what it is, kind of thing though in general I hate that saying

Well deserved.

What I respect the most about Campbell is that he chooses to walk his own path in a sport where so many coaches seek the shortcut to a big pay day and bail every few years to the next stepping stone. Instead he’s stayed, and shown us that he can build the once unthinkable here. We’re lucky to have a man like him leading our program.

The fact that we've kept him for 9 years is a minor miracle. I can't imagine navigating this era with a struggling coach or a coach that doesn't 'get' Iowa State and is able to build team from the ground up.

I do think part of this is us (Iowa State AD & boosters). I think there are A LOT of schools that would've fired him for 2022 season alone.

And just look at how fast he righted the ship with 2023 and took it to the next level in 2024.

Iowa State won't bail on him because he won't bail on us. It's a match made in CFB Heaven.

Iowa State is reaping the benefits of a coaching staff like Campbell & Co. because we're willing to ride out a temporary tough time because we trust in his process. Not all schools would.

Well put. It's common thinking in soccer to wonder why it's so popular. A very long time ago, I heard it's because the fans understand the intricacies of the game; the game within the game. Let's face it, in the end ISU fans may be slightly more durable, but we have those incessant complainers just like every fan base. And, put a lot of money in their pockets and they become program influencers.

What we should all recognize, is that we're behind the eight ball compared to blue bloods. That's not to mean we can't become a blue blood. Because, after all blue bloods were us at one time too. It's just that we have to stay the course on a plan. JP has master minded so much for ISU it's almost unfathomable.

I'm now officially old. And, I can say, I've never been happier with the state of ISU athletics than now.

Not all Iowa State fans were willing to ride out the rough times. The Rotters tried to stir up the Cyclone faithful to fire Campbell. Good for Cyclone Nation to reject the Rotters idiotic rants. Good for Pollard to keep our great Cyclone Coaches. Enjoy these times

I told you all the day ISU announced his hiring that you were getting a great coach and greater man. I stand by those remarks today. If you were ever dumb enough to fire him, it would be a tough day for him answering the phone with job offers from all over the USA. I'm sorry, but the coaching fraternity viewed ISU as not a very smart location. CMC has changed that for the better. Luckily for ISU, CMC looks at things differently than most college coaches. As I mentioned before, he was offered/ turned down consideration for the Ohio State OC job when Urban took over. If that would of happened he potentially would of been their head coach right now. Enjoy it folks, I assure you the grass is not going to be greener on the other side of the fence. Go Cyclones!
