Well if it ends with a game as good as the Drake-Western Kentucky tournament game was, I'll be happy. That was one of the most entertaining tournament games of the decade.
It still bothers me to this day that the first time WSU played a respectable opponent last season, they got bounced by Kentucky in the round of 32. Somehow the hype train continued into this season and it doesn't make any sense. Even though it was such a close game I felt like that was a complete joke of a season for them. When they actually made the Final Four they had the world's easiest path. This team is awful and I bet without FVV and Baker next year they still start the season ranked. People need to stop clinging to two years ago.Wichita State's chances to prove themselves:
@Utah FAIL
@UNI FAIL
UNI at home PASS
MVC tournament FAIL
*plus they lost to GW who isn't even a bubble team
ISU has won over half of it's games against ranked teams. WSU is failing 75% of the time they have a chance to do something good and their only achievement all season is at home...where ISU has taken down a bunch of ranked teams, often with ease.
Sorry apologists and contrarians, but this is not "HATE". It's common sense. WSU could prove me wrong and go on a huge tournament run, but it's a fact that they are probably one of the most overrated teams in regular season college basketball history. When did a team ever rise to 8th on one decent win all year?
What's UNI going to do when they face an athletic team than can stop Tuttle without triple teaming?

Im a big believer in resting killing momentum, and the Missouri Valley is at such a disadvantage going into the dance with their 12-13 day resting period.
Wow, here's his order of Big 12 teams: Oklahoma, Kansas, Baylor, West Virginia, Iowa State. Wtf?

Except for 2 years ago when Wichita went to the Final Four.
Bill Walton is milking that cow for all she is worth. She has to be about dried up by now.
