Agreed, that game was completely awesome to watch as a fan of the game (and not of either team).
Wow, here's his order of Big 12 teams: Oklahoma, Kansas, Baylor, West Virginia, Iowa State. Wtf?
Not only does he have Ohio State rated (only 1 top 50 win, horrible schedule), but he has them rated over Iowa State (10 top 50 wins, good schedule).

It still bothers me to this day that the first time WSU played a respectable opponent last season, they got bounced by Kentucky in the round of 32. Somehow the hype train continued into this season and it doesn't make any sense. Even though it was such a close game I felt like that was a complete joke of a season for them. When they actually made the Final Four they had the world's easiest path. This team is awful and I bet without FVV and Baker next year they still start the season ranked. People need to stop clinging to two years ago.

I thought the Panthers were doomed after the first half. They kept going in side and just getting absolutely shut down. Illinois State was playing some physical ball down low and the stripes were letting them play. Couple that with a lack of perimeter shooting and you end up down big at the half. If UNI puts together an entire game that looks like that, they're doomed. However, if they put together a game like their second half, they could go deep.
I'm also in the camp which believes WSU should have dropped out of the top 20 or even 25.
If we lost 80% of the time we played someone decent we would be ineligible for the NIT.

Sorry UNI apologists but that couldn't be further from "hate" or "obsession"...it's ridiculing how mind blowingly stupid that is. If WSU has earned being #8 last week...we need to start ranking DIII and JUCO teams in the AP top 25 if they have a great record because obviously beating good teams is not required in the slightest.
How you can't put them in the order of KU -- ISU/OU -- Baylor/WVU...just shows you're not really paying attention.
We play a ROUND ROBIN. ISU gets the nod over OU because of a better non-conf and basically a dead tie conference performance. Baylor/WVU I'm not as sure but you can't put them drastically out of order. KU is the champ...OU barely edged them at home with key players sitting out...if anything the recent OU win over KU sealed that KU is better.
The funny part is people bash WSU, but are ok with UNI being up there, when UNI's only top 50 win is over WSU.

I can only imagine that the inflated ratings of the Valley teams comes from writers who primarily cover mid-majors, and are overvaluing them to a huge extent. Northern Iowa deserves to be close to where they are (I'd probably put them at 16-18), but Wichita State has done very little, and should be probably 20-24 range.
