Going to be a fun day to watch today. Yesterday most of the best scores were shot in the morning and those who started on the back 9 got some scoring done early. That seems to be story again this morning. 13 scores under par out there right now but only one of those started on the front 9. I'd bet a bunch of those numbers fall off quick as they make their way through the front 9.
Then the afternoon tee times, I would be surprised to see much scoring as the day goes on and it stays dry out there. Of the 10 rounds below par yesterday, 5 came from the early tee times and 5 from the afternoon but the only two better than -2 (Spaun and Lawrence) were both in the early bunch.
And, as Oakmont can do, the 5 playing this morning that went below par yesterday afternoon are a collective +16 so far this morning LOL. Neegard-Petersen is the best of that group at even for the day. Koepka +2, Im +4, Rahm +3. Course is eating some good players up.
