2025 Transfer Options

How many scholarship players does k state have now? The positive is, they should have a lot of money to throw around, the negative is it's going to cost more this year. Tangs buyout is the gift that keeps on giving.
Honestly it’s an incredible job what TJ, the staff, Blum and We Will have done to retain the main four guys. Many other schools are playing musical chairs with guys and we only lost the ones we wanted to leave.

This might be the best transfer Iowa has landed since Luke Recker. Or Adam Haluska can't remember who was first.

Edit to add I forgot about Fran convincing Uthoff to come home.
Hausen not even close to being in the same ballpark as Recker or Benedict haluska. They were WAY more athletic scorers and were more than standstill shooters. Could even play passable defense

I mean this is really the first guy he’s gotten outside of his own players from Drake and a high school player who was committed to UNI lol. Killer is probably a little dramatic
That Mo Valley conference was NOT GOOD last year--top to bottom. Nothing compared to the nightly Big 10 competition that group will face for 20+ games.

It wasn’t a horrible conference. It wasn’t good though especially in comparison to P5’s. He’s going to be asking a lot of Stirtz

Oh yeah, they are all better than Hausen I wasn't trying to make it sound like I was saying that. Just a testament to Frans total carelessness in handling the portal that they haven't really had any notable transfers since Uthoff, and before him dating way back to the Alford years before the portal even existed.

There goes Iowas entire NIL budget…

Iowa fans probably think Hausen is paying Iowa to play there because, you know, EVERYONE wants to be a Squawkeye.

Just about the only highlight of his that I've seen them post is the logo 3 against us in Hilton. They're going to be disappointed when he can't make those as often as their savior did on the women's team a few years ago.

Ok fair but I saw somewhere it was ranked top 5 or something like that, guessing only because of Stirtz

Sort of, but not really. Any transfer ranking they are high in is because they are bringing in a lot of guys via transfer. Sites like 247 add the rank they have for each player so it’s more of a volume thing than one player being highly ranked (although that does account for a a extra point or two) for them. If you look at their average transfer ranking they aren’t in the top 30.

Any updates on specific players Iowa State are getting? I know Nelson is out of the question but any other players? Assuming a big man.
Seems like they are in a holding pattern. Reading between the lines, I think they are continuing to raise funds, but are tapped out. Might go to donors hat in hand if they find a target they think they really need?

There are still tons of guys in the portal at the moment. Not saying we’re going to have our pick of the litter or anything like that but we can be strategic in some sense.
