From what I heard on the radio, he's being described as a project, so I would imagine that they are pretty keen to get a definite starter transfer.
That’s what I’m hearing too. Seems they will still be looking for QB1 for next year.
What's his problem? Does he hit receivers in stride and not throw it 10 feet over their heads?
He struggles with playbooks developed after the 1990s. He's looking for a place where his talent for taking sacks and throwing the ball out of bounds will be better appreciated.

I just watched his clips from when Auburn played New Mexico. Here are my takeaways:
- Looks down the receiver he is throwing to before he even snaps the ball
- I would describe most of his throws as "lobs" with very few "darts"
- Pretty accurate
- Mobility was not on display.
We do have a staff connection in coach Roehl, granted he was OC at NDSU but Wisniewski would have been a nice replacement for Verdon/Freyler.
Skattebo is going to be a very good pro RB. I don't know how fast he is, fast enough, but he is just so hard to bring down easily. His yards after contact will be big in the NFL also.

I believe he is grandson to Jimmy Ellis, former WBA Heavyweight champion. Jimmy died from boxing related dementia complications at age 74.
I think you're right. They never give exact injury reports but I thought it was upper tibia fx, of some sort, close to the knee, from what I was able to gleen. Hopefully his knee ligs and meniscus are all intact.
It will be interesting to see what we do at Safety. It's SUCH an important position in this defense. Obviously, Freyler is gone. Verdon may declare, or he may come back since his brother will be here. I've seen rumors where Cooper might hit the portal. Trevon Howard is already in the portal. Tayshawn James came on a little during the end of the season, so he's probably a starter. Patton and Neal both played, but I wouldn't say they played well. Surges was injured all year. VanDinter redshirted, but maybe he'll play. Not sure about Cam Smith...is he a CB or S?
Either way, I think that we DO need a S in the portal.
I don’t disagree, he impressed me with his low COG and power.
A college comparable I thought of was Toby Gerhart and NFL comparables were Peyton Hillis and Jamal Lewis. Although I haven’t taken the time to compare physical measureables of the four.
I just know Skattebo impressed me with his power and low shoulder pad level.

Cam Smith is a safety. I think we do need to bring in one safety in the portal. Hopefully. There are some good ones out there. I'm surprised we aren't after any edge rushers yet. That is the biggest need. That and WR, but we got Townsend and have a few other guys coming in for a visit.
