If a golfer isn't able to play, why would that count as a halved match? How is it any different than a forfeit?

I was at Hazeltine in 2016 on the Saturday, and that was after a couple people got tossed on Friday for going after Rory and his family. It’s only gotten worse since then, and toss on a little East Coast and here we are.

Thankfully a bunch of people started pointing out anyone who made vile comments and got people tossed immediately. That’s the Minnesota part though, not the NY part lol.

Was there on the Sunday. That was fun being there for a US win. Definitely heard some voices in the crowd pushing the limits but nothing too crazy, probably helped that the US had it in hand.

That’s just the rule. People lately take this thing way too ******* seriously, but it’s supposed to just be a fun rivalry thing. I think it makes sense to have an agreement that doesn’t penalize a team for someone getting hurt. Also winning due to an injury would feel pretty lame.
