spurs have some pretty big questions surrounding their coaching IMO.
I can’t ******* believe what I just watched. I don’t have the words so I’ll leave it to Bill Walton: “Think Oscar Wilde when he said, ‘every saint has a past, every sinner has a future.’ But also think Neil Young. ‘The fork in the road, light a candle’. Instead of cursing the darkness, let’s light a candle for where we’re going. This was fantastic for the world. We are better people for having been here. It was absolutely incredible. I’m inspired. I don’t know when I’ll ever sleep again.”
Fox having a rough end to the game.
He’s won games but the talent on the team goes a long way with that. His in-game adjustments tonight were terribleHe had a bad game but he also got them to this point with a very young team. I think he learns from this and will be fine.
After that game I wouldn’t know the differenceAre you also tripping on a cocktails of various mind altering drugs like Bill?
With as many timeouts called, this should have been addressed in the huddle. Someone should have made sure everyone was on the same page but honestly, they may not have bc it was such a simple play. It's junior high level stuff, make them foul you, no reason to try to shoot.I mean, he probably thought he had a layup to make it a 3 point game? Running the math in my head on the couch and it's really hard to equate what a world class athlete chasing you down is going to be truly capable of - especially in real time.
Yes it’s ONE bad game. If you show me he has more games like this one, then I would agree with you. I mean you can say for every successful coach that it’s because talent on the team goes a long way. He’s won games but the talent on the team goes a long way with that. Even if he hits the layup, they still aren’t in a much better position. Time is your friend and you’ll still get a shot at points from the line if you dribble it out.
In junior high, yes, that would be the strategy. This isn't the same game. If you think you have two points, you take it.With as many timeouts called, this should have been addressed in the huddle. Completely agree. And on top of that, a difficult and contested layup too.

There were like 11 seconds left, you're up by one, why on earth do you think you need a layup to go up by three and give them the ball back? Yes, the clock is your friend at that point.
It was a VERY bad game. Blowing a 20 point 4th quarter lead is terrible. For as good as the spurs looked in the first half, they looked worse in the second. That has to fall to the coach to get his guys in the right place to succeed. He may still bounce back long term but that type of loss will stick with him for a long timeYes it’s ONE bad game.
