NBA: *** 2025-26 NBA Thread ***

I’ve had enough of Murray. I wouldn’t mind Denver trading him. The team as it is now is not working anymore. Need changes and fresh blood.
They need to blow it up somehow. First to go needs to be Adelman. He’s the lowest-hanging fruit. We underachieved all season and then got abused by Finch in this series.

The elephant in the room is Jokic. He didn’t sign that extension last offseason. He’s got a player option after next year. If we can’t get him to re-sign this summer, I think he has to be on the trading block. As sad as that is.

It may be a great time to trade Jokic. He's now 31 years old. One can expect his productivity to start to decrease in the near future. So Denver may be able to get maximum trade value out of him right now

This series showed Denver lacks any great rim protectors. While Jokic is a HOF player on the offensive end, he isn't the player you want protecting the rim. Minnesota simply took advantage of their lack of rim support and just attacked one player after another to the lane. Even with key injuries, MN was able to simply insert a new player to perform that simple task.

Pretty awesome night for MN sports fans up here. Can't believe the Wolves won that series being down who they were down. Don't expect a series win over the Spurs but the fight this team has is impressive.

Jokic isn’t a good defender but he’s better than he showed this series. He’s not a rim protector, but he’s historically been able to affect layups at, at least an average level.

And not making excuses for Jokic, but the perimeter D was terrible. These guys were getting free runs to the rim all series long. Murray has always been a below average defender, Braun’s D has fallen off a cliff, Watson and Gordon who are our best perimeter defenders were hurt. O resistance on the perimeter to help Jokic out.

As for trading Jokic, it’s a risk, but if he doesn’t sign an extension this summer, the writing is on the wall he wants out.

Holy buckets. The Magic couldn't score the last quarter and a half. 1 for what 30? Wow. Yikes.

Cleveland had a good look there at the end.
Wild games tonight!

I’ll never get over nba crowds not coming back to the high dollar seats and a dead arena the first half of a 3rd quarter in a must win game

It’s no different than the empty seats in the Sukup end zone. At some point you put in so many amenities that you just watch the game from there.

Chris Finch is ridiculously underrated as a coach.

Also, with Ant out, gives other guys a chance to be more alpha...however long term, Ant has to be in the equation to make another run at the finals.
I really like Finch. And they have done a great job with the roster the last few years. They keep finding really nice role players.
