The new dynamic is if you lose a coach this time of year you have about 48 hours to announce a replacement or the portal picks over the bones of your program.

Yeah I used to kind of eye roll when Pollard talked about always having a replacement list in his pocket but that's probably true.

100% true. And not only that, if you are a DC / OC, etc... you better have a list of dudes you already know will come join on when you take a job.

Like Cignetti to Indiana was easy, big ten money, etc, most guys will go with a HC if its a step up. The assistant part though, that can be tricky but all part of why a coaching change is never just as simple as "you're fired"

Hope he is as newsworthy as he was coaching the Fuskers! This could be fun!
Maybe he will lose his rings in the garage again and say they were stolen.

I'm really surprised they ran it back. I know USF under achieved a little but I would have thought Golesh or another up and comer would have made sense.

I guess its going back to your most successful guy but its weird to me

I never thought he was... one of my favorite coaches, at least in terms of his straight head, tough as nails approach. Always liked rooting for them in the Pac 12. Very glad we beat them though

I’ve been lurking on a few forums to see what fanbases are saying. Apparently UNC really wanted Sumrall and Campbell but it sounds like both didn’t want UNC.

One would have to assume the transfer window should be putting pressure on programs like WVU and UNC who doesn’t have a HC yet.
