NFL: ***2022 NFL Season Thread***

We played at the towers the one day classes got cancelled because of a blizzard. Of course someone broke their collarbone and we barely found a four wheel drive to get him to the ER. Back in the day when most people had rear wheel drive only.

I may be of the opinion that Lamar Jackson isn't the long-term solution for the Ravens, but holy hell are they lost without him right now.

I don't care how good of a QB you are, no one is going to have success with that receiving corp. An average QB will look like an MVP with a solid set of receivers (see Tua) and a great QB will look like garbage with a set of bad receivers. We need to stop laying this at the feet of the QB alone. Even as great as Mahomes is, the fact that he has had excellent receivers his whole career sure helps.

Admitted NFL bandwagon fan here…are the internet trolls saying Cowboys are radically better than 49ers just morons? What aspect of the team is superior? Video boards? Klan member owner?

Similar defense and Dallas has the better offense. They aren't radically better but if they played today Dallas would be favored for sure.

Agreed. I don't like Dallas, but if I can remove my Cyclone colored glasses for a moment, the 49ers are starting a low ranked rookie at QB, who despite performing well of late, hasn't really been tested, and is still unproven.

Pretend the 49ers starting quarterback was Skylar Thompson, instead of Purdy, and that's how some people are seeing things.

Obviously he hasn't been tested on a come back yet but played really well against a good defense in Tampa and against a legend on the other side and followed it up with a road win in one of the toughest environments with tons of media love and attention all week.

I'm not saying that he hasn't played well, but in a matchup with Dallas, the QB position is still seen as significantly stronger for the Cowboys at this point.
