3 of the last 4 standing in women's soccer came from the same group (AUS, SWE, USA).

Lavelle, Morgan, Press, and Rapinoe all nail their kicks from the spot. Survive and advance.
Goalie Heather Naeher is a breathe of fresh air from a previous goalie naed Solo, and other attention seekers like Rapinoe. Naeher was the star of that match. Yet made her interview about the team rather than her.

Meanwhile Rainoe was taking full credit as she happened to take the clinching shot as the 4th kicker. At the end of her interview she did at least remember briefly mention her teammates .

Insecure people get so triggered by the women's soccer team, it's crazy.

Good win for the US.

It was a great win. On to the semis. Love Coach Andonovoski. Brought two NWSL championships to KC and stll lives here.

Sorry, I'm just not a Rapinoe fan. I am a fan of her fiancee, Sue Bird, even though she played for UConn.

It’s so funny how some people appreciate the quiet, unassuming women on the team, but have such a problem with a woman who has a big, brash personality.

Oh, and the last Heather that I can remember playing for the USWNT is Heather Mitts and she retired in 2013. If you love our keeper so much, you could at least learn her name.

Eddy Alvarez is the GOAT no one talks about. Can you imagine being good enough at life (and lucky enough) to win s speed skating silver and 7 years later get 2 doubles in your first Olympic baseball game?

Or could you imagine being the guy who was traded while at the Olympics?

Personally I prefer the male professional athlete due to their unwavering commitment to humility and team-first approach. Don't see guys in the NBA, NFL or MLB making it all about themselves ever...

You can just look at soccer. Almost all
Of the biggest stars are really just background team first guys; Ronaldo, Ibra, Beckham, Pogba, Neymar.
