The words dumpsterfire or cluster **** work as wellMod, please change thread title to “2020 Vikings Dread”
I don't move Hunter unless I get a Kahlil Mack type of deal in return. He is under a cheap contract for 3 more years. That kind of value is really hard to trade away.I've seen this circulating on twitter. Do the Vikings try and trade Danielle Hunter this off season and commit to the rebuild? He wants a new contract and is probably set to be paid top 5 at least defensive money in the NFL. That is A LOT of coin to be spread between Cousins and Hunter
Thoughts? - I say trade Hunter if you can get a top 1/3 1st round pick and a second or third in return
I would love to try and trade cousins to a team like Indy who has the supporting cast (top o-line, especially interior) to elevate Cousins. But the likelihood of that happening is 0.1%...
I'd probably put every player on the trading block for the right price who isn't JJeffs, Brian O'Neil and Bradbury.
They'll get something out of him, I suppose. Seems like they didn't think there was much chance of resigning him with next year's cap situation. They would have likely got a 3rd round compensatory pick if he left, but this Baltimore pick will be at worst, a little bit better than the compensatory pick would have been. Plus there's a conditional 5th they could get as well. What in the actual ****? This makes absolutely no sense.

I could see the Vikings drafting a guy like Trey Lance in the 2nd round. I think that would be acceptable if for sure they were out on Lawrence sweepstakes and took OL in the 1st round.
But my God, would Lawrence look good in purple and gold
So Hunter just going to skip his year 25 and 26 seasons just so he can get a new contract? I don't think so.He wants a new contract though... If you can get him to play under his current contract. No way you trade him. However, the Wolf's like to extend their players when they don't like their contract (except Reiff)
Makes perfect sense. What in the actual ****? This makes absolutely no sense.
So Spielman makes millions to figure out now what I could’ve told him 6 months ago? And you’re okay with that?Makes perfect sense.
They found out first hand that Ngakoue is one dimensional and can’t stop the run
Yikes. I like him, but not sure how I feel if the Vikings took him top 10Lance is being projected as a top 10 pick.
To me, this should be the final nail in the Spielman coffin. The fact that you trade away what will now be a very high 2nd round pick for 6 games and then get what will be a very low 3rd round pick in return is a complete failure. That's giving away 50ish draft spots for virtually nothing.
Compile that with the albatross that is both Cousins contracts and the fact that he has done very little to get a competent O-line to protect said statue QB makes it clear Rick really doesn't get it. Time for a change. And I love Zim, but his defense also isn't very good - and really hasn't been great in big games since the 2017 NFCCG. If the new GM wants a new coach, I'm fine with that. Go young and innovative.
Guess now it's time to suck as much as humanly possible and #TankForTrevor
