This was from the student parking lot at NIACC in Mason City. Impressive.

You can have my car. I'll return in the spring to pick it up.

From Snowplow cams: I-35 southbound had 1 lane open (southbound is open from MN state line south). A northbound plow around MM 211 (between HWY 9 and the Casino) still showed no visible pavement (northbound still closed).

Roads not worth a hoot by FD basically 80-100% snow ice packed. If your not in a hurry it works. Don't be a d*ck pay attention driving on this stuff.

Cars being stranded does not help getting roads clear. There was 3 or 4 spots that were one lane because if were stuck or stranded cars where still in roadway. Also they dont want to hit stalled cars or make it worse to get them out. 169 was bad south of ft dodge and hwy 4 from about 5 miles north of poky to Emmetsburg where not delightfully. Snowblowers still cleaning drifts and 100 ice packed

What’s happening with girl’s basketball teams needing to go to Des Moines for tournament?

Luckily they started off with 5A which was all metro except for Iowa City High. However North Polk was to plan Estherville-Lincoln Central. Looks like they made it.

I am hearing we may have a repeat storm (although not as much snow and not as high of winds) on Friday and Saturday of this weekend. Same areas could be impacted.
