1st Net Ranking

I'm not saying NET's only about wins/losses, just that whether you won or not is a factor in a team's NET ranking. kenpom etc. literally don't care if you win/lose, just how well you did vs. expected margin.

Help me understand NET #1 Michigan. They destroy their best two opponents (according to NET - #5 Gonz by 40, #30 Aub by 30) but barely eak out one score wins vs. #54 TCU and #56 Wake. What am I missing? Is this just a Jekyll and Hyde team or are they gelling? I haven't seen them play.

I think it is the latter. They figured things out. It is still early though so a lot can change.

They shot the 3 ball really well in Vegas while they shot poorly against TCU and Wake.

They currently have more Q1 wins than anyone as well. That win over Gonzaga was incredibly impressive.

TCU probably helped them with a nice win over Florida this weekend. That initial loss that TCU had (to New Orleans?) looked really bad, but they seem to have some potential as well.

Texas Tech at 37 is a bit shocking. Houston not in top 15 is also surprising. I've said I think both are good teams, but what I've seen so far they aren't great and not Final Four teams at all. But that can change.

Tech has an opportunity in front of them. LSU, Arky, and Duke all within the next couple weeks.

Good thing we have Purdue on the schedule without them our NonCon schedule would have been pretty stinky. Prior to the season starting our Non Con looked decent but MSU and Creighton not leaving up to the hype is hurting our strength of schedule.
