OK, maybe this doesn't deserve a thread of its own, but I went to ISU in the 90s and we won 10 games combined in my 4 years in Ames. I had season tickets in the 0-10-1 season.

Pretty amazing that we have won that in one season.

What Matt Campbell has done here is just short of a miracle to me. It's a great time to be a Cyclone!

This takes a lot of the sting out of the 2005 season where we really should have won 10 games minimum.

40+ years as a Cyclone fan and my highest aspiration for much of it was a winning record and a bowl game. And even with that low bar, I thought that they were just the dreams of a sports fan. I certainly never envisioned what Matt Campbell has accomplished here.

Just another notch in Campbell's belt. Off the top of my head in his time here:

1st 10 win season
1st NY6 Bowl and win
1st appearance in Big 12 Championship
Broke the 1st round draft pick drought of 50 years
1st coach to have a winning conference record

I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch of stuff. But these were all things that have always been used against us and now the haters have to shut up.

Simply incredible what he's done for this football program and for the university. Plenty left to still work for but these are unprecedented times.

A randomly hot Kansas team and a close Texas tech game away from an undefeated season as well. Amazing job! Hopefully ISU is perennially at the top of the new big 12.
Another reason to hate Kansas really, let’s suck until we can **** the conference. Them getting hot when they did put a bad loss on a couple of teams.

If ISU had not been down to 4th stringers they may have gotten it. But injuries are part of it. The fact this team got to 10 wins was pretty damn impressive.

It's unfortunate because a team like that in the B1G or SEC would get plenty of hype.

ESPN hardly blinked last week when OU was smoking Bama and OU would be bad no matter what league this year.
