It's unfortunate because a team like that in the B1G or SEC would get plenty of hype.

ESPN hardly blinked last week when OU was smoking Bama and OU would be bad no matter what league this year.
No ****, look at what they did to Vanderbilt. ******* nuts how an SEC team losing to a bad team leads to the losing team not dropping much and Vanderbilt jumping into the rankings.

I certainly never envisioned what Matt Campbell has accomplished here.
Watching his Toledo team get spanked by Coach Row-your-Boat in the MAC title game seemed to portend certain failure in Ames.

So, yeah. Coach Campbell has far exceeded reasonable expectations.

Awesome!!! Before I saw this post, I was curious what "Big 4" teams still didn't have a 10 win season, and found this posted before the 2024 season:

Shedding the "1st round NFL draft pick" drought and "no 10 win season" moniker the last couple years show the direction this program is headed.

Hard to know. It's tough for any team to go 11-1 or 12-0. Hell, it's hard to go 10-2.

I'm just thankful that this team responded after Kansas with 3 wins. That's pretty ******* impressive.
Thanks for responding I can always count on CF to never answer what you ask

10 Wins. Wish my dad could have seen this. He raised us a Cyclone Fans in Eastern Iowa during those scarcest of years.

Reflecting on yesterday and the season, what stands out to me the most is the juxtaposition of what took place in Ames Saturday compared to some of the 'Mecca's' of College Football.

I am not sure why you need to refuse to shake hands at the start of the game or plant your flag on your opponents logo or respond with violence when that happens to show you are the better program.

Ironic that ISU can get flack for 'finally joining the 10 win club after 100+ years' and yet these 'elite programs' are still looking for a way to demonstrate their 'superiority' after all of their 'magnificent' 10+ win seasons and winning a game. Still screaming 'Hey, look at me' after all that incredible success?

I'll take a flyer and suggest ISU nation will respectfully decline the invitation to your special 'club'. 10 wins is great. Check that box. There are more to check and this program will eagerly pursue those.

We don't need to chase the superiority, hope it stays that way.

I won't pretend ISU has some corner on the Five Star culture or whatever you want to call it Whatever you call it, I love this Cyclone version of it and all of its anxiety and imperfections! Really glad my dad gifted me being a fan of it!

OK, maybe this doesn't deserve a thread of its own, but I went to ISU in the 90s and we won 10 games combined in my 4 years in Ames. I had season tickets in the 0-10-1 season.

Pretty amazing that we have won that in one season.

What Matt Campbell has done here is just short of a miracle to me. It's a great time to be a Cyclone!
sounds like u were bad luck
